#6 vs. #25 should be a night game this week.

I guess we don't foster too many t-shirt fans and neither do Missouri...

At least at 11 AM you can DVR the game and be certain it will be on the correct channel (at least to begin with).

Mizzou market share isn't big enough for other time slots. It's the only ranked game but looking at the 2:30 slate...

Iowa vs OhSt on CBS first big test of top B1G team, definitely biggest game in that market
Auburn vs Georgia on ABC isn't a great game on paper but from the money perspective it's more valuable than our game
Ole Miss vs SC on ESPN is a huge game for both programs, Ole Miss is outta the playoffs with a loss and SC trying to stay relevant

If Mizzou loses to us they could find a way in, and technically same for us since only 1 SEC loss. Mizzou also not looking as good as last year and we aren't playoff favorites like Ole Miss so generally our game means less and has lower market value.

In addition, College Gameday already came for Notre Dame and they very rarely if ever go to same place twice in one season. So they kicked the puck to SEC Nation. Then they chose to go to Berkley for Cal vs Miami starting at 10:30pm Miami time??? So the bigger question is why did they choose to go there, but regardless they can't have the only ranked match up in the evening slot because it would interfere with Gameday game ratings

An attempt by networks to make 11am desirable games and get eyeballs through the entire day. For example, Oklahoma and ole Miss is scheduled for the early slot in a few weeks.

Take a seat.

Someone will be along shortly to insist 11AM is THE ideal time for an A&M game because of travel logistics for olds and the brilliance of ESPN leading off with this marquee early game on ABC.

This is the correct answer.

11am games aren't the insult they were once considered.

The country should care more about this very interesting matchup. It's the team that always does more with less, versus the team that always does less with more.

while not liked by fans, the networks don't view this is a bad TV spot. ABC at 11 is one of the 3 "best" spots for SEC games now.

under the old system, this would have been a 2:30 kick on CBS most likely.

now they slot times early, so I think ABC was thinking FSU v Clemson would be their #1 game at night, but FSU did not cooperate.

As someone said on another thread. Missouri fans probably still don't know who they're playing this week. And they think they were the most critical addition to the SEC.

Follows NFL tv slots but one hour earlier because of the 3:30pm eastern well established slot.

It's a 9AM kickoff for me, I'll have to set an alarm since I will likely be tired from attending the Ducks/Spartans game Friday night and it is a 30-minute walk home from Autzen after the game. It should be a fun football weekend though.

Love the 9am games. Have my coffee, watch some football, then plenty of time for golf.

Pacific time is the best sports watching time zone. On this I will brook no dissent.

Oh trust me.

They do.

I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.

The only good thing about the 1100 time slot is that we don't have to search apps to find the 1430 game when the 1100 runs over, as they always do.

quite a few big games get scheduled at 11am. You must not watch a lot of football. Texas @ Michigan, for example (even though we now know Michigan shouldn't even be sniffing a #30 ranking....)

I know later is better... but to give you a silver lining... sure is nice enjoying the rest of the day's games without the stress of worrying about yours, and watching your winning score all afternoon and evening scroll across the screen.

By the way, we should drag out this game as long as possible just so we can F$%#! the 2:30pm teams...

The best time for olds based on travel logistics is a 2:30 (mid-afternoon) game. For those games you don't have to get up too early in the morning to catch all the pre-game activities and/or do some tailgating, and you don't get home too late.

I live in Weatherford, so I will be leaving Saturday morning at 5-5:30 am [wake up at 4 am & pack the car]....... a little tough for us "olds".

Evening games are about the same, for the ND game I didn't get home until 2:30-3:00 am. Of course the real driver is where you live ! Much easier from Houston/Austin/San Antonio than from DFW and north, or West/East Texas.

Overall, we "olds" just have to make the sacrifice to be able to go to Kyle.

The ONLY valid ANNUAL goal for ALL Aggie Sports is a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

I think I read that ABC considers the 11am time slot a "prime" slot. Not sure why. And this game was set in stone when they announced the TV schedule for the season, as opposed to being listed as "flex" - which likely would have seen us get a later time slot.

11:00 is great. Make brunch, watch the game, and then do stuff that actually matters.
