Thank you in Advance.

Aggie Football related for many reasons. Even though my son is a freshman at ucla he still refers to Aggie football as "WE." And both he and I need to evaluate Penn State Football to fully and more accurately gauge how good Bowling Green was as they were the common opponent.

Yes, we are heading out to Happy Valley to watch ucla lose to PSU in 10 days.

What's the best way to purchase college football tickets?

Thank you.

I recommend using real money. They'll get upset with you if you try to pay in Monopoly money.

Looks like Penn State partners with Ticketmaster, so that's probably where I'd look.

Here's an updated plan tailored to the October 5th Penn State vs. UCLA game:
1. Game Details
  • Teams: Penn State Nittany Lions vs. UCLA Bruins
  • Date: October 5
  • Location: Beaver Stadium, University Park, Pennsylvania
  • Kickoff Time: Check the official website for game time updates (usually determined closer to the event).
2. Ticket Sources
  • Official Penn State Athletics Website: Visit the official Penn State Ticket Office for direct purchases. This is the safest option for securing tickets.
  • Ticket Platforms: If official tickets are sold out, look at resale platforms:
    • StubHub: Penn State's official resale partner.
    • SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, or Ticketmaster: These platforms typically offer reliable resale options.
  • Student or Alumni Tickets: If you are a student or alumnus, check for any special discounts or offers through the university.
3. Budget Considerations
  • Face Value: Expect higher face-value prices for a big matchup like this.
  • Resale Prices: Depending on demand, resale tickets could vary greatly, especially if the game is expected to be a high-stakes match-up.
  • Additional Costs: Factor in fees, parking passes (especially if tailgating), and any premium seating options.
4. Look for Deals
  • Penn State Fan Promotions: Check the official athletics website for any promotions or group deals.
  • Season Ticket Holders: Sometimes season ticket holders sell individual game tickets at a reasonable price.
5. Purchase Timing
  • Buy Early: This game is likely to sell out, so purchasing as soon as possible is ideal, especially through official channels or trusted resale platforms.
  • Watch Resale Market: Keep an eye on resale prices, but buying sooner is recommended for a big game.
6. Seating Preferences
  • Beaver Stadium Seating: Consult the seating chart for Beaver Stadium:
    • Sideline seats: Offers great views of the field.
    • End zone: Often more affordable but with a more limited view.
    • Student Section: Located near the end zone and known for a lively atmosphere.
  • Premium Options: Explore options like club-level seating for a more comfortable experience.
  • Accessible Seating: If you need accessible seating, ensure you select the appropriate tickets.
7. Tailgating and Additional Events
  • Tailgating Passes: Tailgating is a big tradition at Penn State. Parking passes for tailgate zones should be purchased early.
  • Pre-Game Activities: Look for any alumni or fan events planned around the game.
8. Ticket Security and Final Details
  • Official Platforms: Only buy from official or trusted resale sites.
  • Digital Tickets: Most tickets are digital, so download them in advance.
  • Refund Policies: Verify the refund or exchange policies in case of unexpected changes.
With this plan, you'll be ready for the game day excitement!

Wife raises chickens. We have eggs. I need to force her to go back to work now that all the kids are out of the house.

I'm jealous. I have that venue on my bucket list and have visited a couple of stadiums so far that didn't host the Aggies. There's just so many yet only 1 bye week and a few cupcakes each season to plan for.

You'll find going to games that don't include the Ags as a lot of fun. There's no stress and you don't have to worry about the fans being aholes. You simply get to enjoy things regardless of the scoreboard

Safe travels

yeah..don't I know it.

USC alumni here.

Should've wore my USC hat/shirt during the move in last Saturday.

I didn't.

Lastly, I always wear my Aggie gear when visiting other stadiums that A&M isn't playing in. If you do, someone with A&M ties will approach you and it's always fun. When at Notre Dame for their game against UNC, I got invited to a tailgate that was hosted by an Aggie/ND guy.

Please come back and tell us about your experience up there

Definitely representing aTm in Happy Valley.

Would be inappropriate walking in with my USC (PSU goes to the LA Coliseum week after) gear and my son in ucla outfit. Rude...

USC, ucla, Oregon and UW in Big 10. This is all very weird.
