Mack Brown should have retired 5 years ago. Great recruiter but awful coach. Elko forgot more about football then Mack ever knew.

From what I've been told by sips, Mack is still coaching because he needs the money. He was way too generous to some family members who were way to reckless with business ventures.

Where does JMU find their QBs? Last year they had Jordan McCloud who won Sun Belt POY. He is now at TXST killing it.

Since my time at JMU, they have had abnormally good luck with low tier FBS or power 5 QBs transferring down to FCS/Sun Belt. They have been able to do this over and over with different head coaches. The notables being Vad Lee (GT), Ben DiNucci (Pitt), Todd Centeio (Temple/Colorado State), Jordan McCloud (South Florida/Arizona). This year the presumptive starter was a transfer from Washington but Alonza Barnett beat him out. Barnett is only the 3rd starting QB that JMU recruited out of high school in the past 10 years. Cole Johnson and Bryan Schor are the other two, also great QBs for FCS level.

It's crazy how previously undefeated 3-0 North Carolina paid James Madison $700k to come to Chapel Hill and allowed 70 points, including 53 in the first half, in a 20-point blowout loss. As a result, James Madison handed North Carolina their first loss to drop them to 3-1.
