A running QB has always been the fit for Klein's offense. Widely known when he was hired as that's integral (as added threat to defense), but stmt. over the spring/summer was that he was trying to change the offense to fit CW (proverbial Klein not stuck on his old offense; partially incorrect as offense needs solid 5-10 QB read/runs). CW used to run more and effectively prior to injury.
With that said, why the past KSU QB txfr'd to tOSU has mentioned that part of the reason he was leaving as he wanted to be in a more pro-style, passing offense (but not sure after C Kelly came in, what they are truly running).
Herbie also loves Reed as his kids attended the same HS in TN (played on the same team). So he's been pro Reed before he's ever even played last yr. Sort amazed we were able to keep Reed as lots of pressure for him to txfr.
