We seem to be COOKED in this department since Swope, Evans, Reynolds, & Kirk. This 2025 outlook means the next 2-3 years could be rough.

Can we please increase the NIL salary for wide receivers please?

Why would a wide receiver come here when we haven't had a QB that could throw a pass deeper than 15 yards since Kyle Murray transferred?

No amount of NIL money is going to convince a wide receiver to come here and have passes throw to him by Connor weigman.

1) Kleins system, whatever it is, doesn't seem to bother much with WRs.

2) The last several years our O line hasn't protected the QB enough to hit our WRs.

3) Other than Subzero we haven't had WRs recently who consistently run good routes.

We haven't had a problem recruiting good wide outs… we've had a problem turning them into something.

Speedy Noil, Ricky Seals-Jones, Evan Stewart, Demond Demas.

All good recruits that never turned into anything on campus. It surely doesn't seem like a talent problem…

Don't appear to have been good recruits; all had baggage. Maybe better to say they had potential.

We somehow got Evan Stewart to come here and play Jimboball. Don't see why we wouldn't be able to get another top WR if the price is right.

What does #1 even mean. Like, he doesn't throw the ball? Or just not to WRs? Or he doesn't prioritize WR talent? Don't think his track record is long enough to conclude that last one.

The wide receiver position is more important in modern college football because a much higher percentage of offense comes from passing, and that has carried over to the NFL. As a result, running backs aren't valued as much as they used to be. Durable quarterbacks with high accuracy get paid significantly more than running backs. The star wide receivers are also making their case for big contract extensions. The elite and even great wide receivers want to play for a school that has a strong passing offense to increase their chance of getting drafted by NFL teams. Unfortunately, Jimbo Fisher and his coaching staff never understood that.

There is now aultiyear established history of wide receivers not being utilized or living up to their potential when they come here.

That was mitigated somewhat because the 5 star qb's we were recruiting were bringing their WR friends with them.

Now with NIL.....your next NIL check is directly ties to ur performance at the school u just abandoned.

Why would a high prospect WR tank their future NIL and NFL stock by coming here?

We have a 6'6" Junior WR who has proven himself in the SEC. We don't have a talent problem. We have a not throwing him a jump ball in man coverage problem. Till I see Noah either drop a ball or lose a 50/50 ball it's on Klein to run plays where we can be successful and Weigman to get them the damn ball.

I wouldn't put RSJ in that group

Ricky had 10 career TD catches for A&M

also had 10 career TD catches in the NFL

he was the 3rd option in the passing game behind Reynolds and Kirk

for what it's worth...

Kyler did not complete a pass beyond 10 yards in his start for the Cardinals against Buffalo last Sunday

he couldn't throw downfield either

I lump him in because he could have been so much better here if he didn't struggle with drops.

all head cases except RSJ. You gotta recruit the total package including the mental side of the ball. Not just look at measurables.
