We were all drinking some yummy maroon Kool-Aid to start the season, but then it gave us green diarrhea.

Now that we've washed it out of our system and sobered up, let's re-make season record predictions:

I think our floor is 6-6 at this point. Plenty of winnable games on the schedule, and the SEC as a whole does not impress me that much (very top-heavy). Nine wins is still very possible, but it would take a lot of things going in our favor to make it happen. So here's my best guess:

At Florida - Win
Bowling Green - Win
Vs Arkansas - Toss-up, but I lean loss
Mizzou - Win
At Ms State - Loss
LSU - Win
At South Cacka Lacky - Win
New Mexican Aggies - Win
At Auburn - Toss-up, but I lean win
Sips - Loss

I think we finish 8-4, with a good showing in a lame bowl; so not a major departure from historical averages, but also not a major drop off in year one which some predicted.

What say you?

I still think 6-6 but 4-8 is certainly possible. Elko might end up being the guy, but not if he stays tethered to Klein. Nothing about Klein's system so far incites confidence.

Klein's scheme is impacting my opinion of Elko…

I just am not convinced we have the play makers at WR to be able to not feel like most game are a toss up.

We may be the worst team in the country. 1-11.

I realistically have us anywhere from 6-6 to 9-3 based on the toss-up games. But I think we're' closer to a 9-3 team than a 6-6 team based on the reality of our schedule. The fact that neither Miss State nor LSU seem to be able to run the ball helps.

I called 6-6 before the beginning of the season, and I'm still holding to that.

5-7 or 6-6

We always play Arky close but pretty much always win. They just managed to lose a game despite putting up like 650 yards of offense. We'll pull that one out.

I'm actually more worried about UF and Bowling Green.

His system needs a dual threat QB. We actually have two of those ready to go...

We're not beating Mizzou, LSU, or hell Aubie either, no tigers are wins this year.

7-5 at best. Good possibility of 6-6. Offense is not good and the defense can't be on the field for 80% of the game.

No one including Arkansas knows what they are now that the Petrino honeymoon is over. Probably a middle of the pack team just like us. Hence a toss up.

LSU can't run the ball. Nicholls State (whoever the hell that is) gave them more than they wanted for the first half. LSU didn't score in the fourth quarter.

They're both a toss up. At some point if you want to have actual discussion about the games you have to be capable of discussing reality, not just your negative feelings.
