Anyone else excited about the Florida game. I'm really excited to see how the Aggies compete.

I'm more curious than excited. Excited left a while back.

Florida is really bad this year. If we don't win handily, or worse if we lose, we should be very concerned.

Christian Kirk had a big punt return late in the game that set up LaCamera for the game-winner

it was a sloppy game throughout for both teams

I remember watching that from my dorm room. LaCamera kicked like 4 field goals in the 2nd half to pick away at Florida's lead and we got the W.

They played Samford!

I like the freshman Lagway. He alone is worth watching some Florida games this year.

I was walking by and the Kirk's invited me to their tail gate. Nice people. I'll be there this Saturday.

This should be a make or break for weigman. A loss to Fla, and A&M will have to go with the other QB's to salvage the season. ND's loss to NIU at home just turned up the screws on the Fla. game. we won't have the luxury of time for rehab. He either gets it done or spends time on the Bench

If we go 3& Out repeatedly in the 1st half, and dont put up double digit points...as in less than 10 points, the Weigman experiment should be over.

Reed and Henderson finish out the game, and the season.

Florida is Dangerous.

They have Talent. They are at Home, they already think they have nothing to lose.

I think it will bring out the best in us. But no cake walk.

I'm not looking forward to watching Lagway against us.

We make bad QBs look like all Americans. We save bad coaches jobs.

I will be there. Kool Junior is a freshman there, so I win either way. Word of warning to any traveling to the game - it is Parents Weekend so it will be really crowded.

The offense has to be better.

I'm not excited. Defense is stout, but passing is poor and running is mediocre.

I think we need to get Bussey the ball more, and QB play has been bad. OLine has been ok, given what we've seen the last 2 seasons.

We are ranked 13th in the league overall and almost last against the run on defense. We gave up 198 yards on the ground to ND.

We're also top 35 in the nation in passing defense.

Losing a local kid, Lagway,
will be a the biggest mistake Aggies have made in awhile. That is how you turn around a program and get "over the hump".
Florida will be back because of it.

It's not like we were Mac Brown who did not recruit Johny.

I am excited about the Florida game because it will be a good litmus test for Mike Elko and Conner Weigman. Dating back to a 43-20 loss to Georgia on 10/28/23, Florida has lost 6 consecutive games against Power 4 teams, including 3 consecutive home games against Power 4 teams. Dating back to the infamous shoe throw in a 37-34 home loss to LSU on 12/12/20, Florida is 10-24 (2-9 at the end of Dan Mullen's tenure, 1-0 under interim head coach Greg Knox, and 7-15 under Billy Napier) in their last 34 games against Power 4 teams.

Dating back to our 42-30 loss at LSU on 11/25/23.we have lost 3 consecutive games against Power 4 teams. Dating back to our 29-19 road loss at Ole Miss on 11/13/21, we have gone 7-15 (7-12 at the end Jimbo Fisher's tenure, 0-2 under interim head coach Elijah Robinson, and 0-1 under Mike Elko) in our last 22 games against Power 4 teams, including 10 consecutive road losses.

Both Texas A&M and Florida lost home openers to nonconference Power 4 opponents by 10+ points each, and both teams are desperate to start 1-0 in SEC play to snap lengthy losing streaks against Power 4 teams. This is a must win road game to snap a 10-game road losing streak and a 3-game losing streak to Power 4 opponents. That would give us our first road win since a 35-14 win at Missouri on 10/16/21. Otherwise, a loss at Florida would extend our road losing streak to 11 games and our road winning drought past 3 years before our next true road game at Mississippi State on 10/19. Also, our losing streak to Power 4 opponents would extend to 4 games.

To be fair, it's a little early to start playing to conference ranking game in terms of stats. We can check back on that mid-year and see where things stand after folks have started playing real games.

I think anybody with eyes can see our defense is pretty good.

I don't think ND is that good as far as passing O. They didn't do much against NIU either. Thus, I think the jury is still out as far as concluding "we have a stout D".

Could care less. Much like every other season after we lose a game in a manner which we shouldn't (I.e. Connor looking like crap against ND).

I doubt that Weigman's talent has completely evaporated, and that he's totally forgotten how to play QB.

But he could use a year at a good FCS school (assuming he could win the job) to get his mechanics and confidence back. I just don't think it will happen at A&M, even against some of the weaker defenses.
