All eyes are on Elko and his handling of the QB disaster. If he fails to act decisively to improve the situation, his credibility will quickly evaporate in the minds of his players, Aggie fans, and potential recruits. We'll see what happens.

Are we going with "Weedman" as his official nickname? Need to know ASAP. Have t-shirts waiting to go on the press.

This is a ridiculous answer imo.

I've never understood this line of thinking. What words do you think could come out of his mouth would make you feel better?

why do we throw QB's away like bath water. We did it with Murray...we did it with Haynes....we did it with Max Johnson.

Why can we not be content with a QB?
Murray was a cluster**** of ego and team management.

Haynes and Max were both not good.

why wasn't he a cluster**** in Norman?

How did Haynes get good enough to beat Florida St last week?

It's wrong, IMO, that a coach giving a generic answer like this in the presser means he isn't considering or won't consider a move.

You guys do this every week of every season - you over react to what coaches say in their pressers.

IF he was going to make a move, there is no chance in hell he says anything prior to sitting down with Weigman and either of Henderson/Reed.

IF he was going to make a move, that is the exact same answer he likely wouldn't have given.

This is right up there with coaches saying "I have no interest in that opening".

Haynes threw for 146 yards vs FSU. He just didn't make the big mistake.

that's good for him, but it's funny to watch people act like he walked out there and stamped his mark as an All-ACC candidate or something.

We need Zane to go to the PC and ask Elko specifically if there's a chance at giving another QB a shot.

That's interesting. If attempting 30 or more passes there are zero wins.

This is so true. That guy was an interception machine last year (and at A&M). It's shocking what you can do with a run game and a QB who refuses to give the ball to the other team.

The issue last night was more of a scheme and talent issue than who was playing QB.

I'm not saying the QB played well, but it's the least of the problems going forward. Go ahead change QB, I don't care. The same issues will still be there. That's what Elko was saying, in so many words.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I'm not sure how you could even tell much of what the scheme was because of QB play.

It's not a talent issue. If you believe in those things I'm sure we have a higher composite star rating than ND for players coming out of HS.

It's hard to have a conversation about QBs when the majority of aggies/fans think Kyler Murray sucked and Max Johnson was good.

Why open that can of worms.

I've been a Weigman fan, but I'm done. Highly anticipated game and he comes out and lays an egg. Worst QB performance I've seen in my lifetime. Trash! Put in Marcel Reed before he transfers!

You must be only 9 years old then. Or else you would've been alive for the '15 game w/ Kyle Allen @ QB versus Bama.

That game was so bad I turned it off and started doing calculus homework.

It was a bad game. No doubt. But all we have heard for two plus years is how great he is, how he is head and shoulders better than everyone around him (on our team or anyone else's). I am not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water. If he sucks, we have been fed a line of BS from every Aggie site and especially this one for two years. I am choosing to believe it was an outlier and not the norm.

Wig looked like ass in the spring game and looks like ass now. Let's blame on,"he's not comfortable" or "he's not in a rhythm". Its hard to get into a rhythm when you are missing open WRs.

Mentioned in another thread, but I really think the fact that he was "recovering" from his surgery masked a lot of non-surgery related issues...at least issues that won't go away with simply healing up.

I think there was a lot of stuff dismissed as him not being able to go 100% that are showing that they will persist beyond his recovery.

Because we haven't seen one be consistently good in several seasons. If Weigman continues playing the way he did last night, this team won't get 4 wins.

That was quick. So you still ridding with "QB1" ?

It will show he missed some, like every QB but it won't show many because nobody was open!!!!

Need to get Elko to have 15 tested and if positive use that reason to start Henderson without catching all the flak

If your QB throws 40%, 2 INT, 100yrd and this is the least of our problems, then we might as well go to Div II.

We were tied at 3.5 quarters with zero QB play against a top 10 team tells me every other facet of the game likely won.

CW being average wins this game. If your QB in the SEC can't be avg, you will never win many significant games.

Murray was a cluster**** of ego and team management.

Haynes and Max were both not good.

And yet killed it in high school and went to OU and won a heisman and is now a nfl QB. Good coaches coach and find ways to get their players to perform.
