There were times it felt like it. Like when we managed to get a couple of first downs, Weigman was hitting the short passes then we ran on 1st and 2nd for no gain. Drive over!

I don't think I've ever seen those two stats so close.

What receivers were open? Ever? What kind of hands did they have?
The running game was pathetic too. The receiving corps was just much worse. I've never seen such a lousy passing game. 100 yards. ND secondary is good but how can nobody ever be open, ever!!!! Never!
Crowd was great. The 12th man impressed ND. So do we get a trophy for that?

Klein was sticking to his playbook no matter how bad the QB play was.

Jimbo would have coached a better team tonight. Maybe not long term. That was horrific.

I stopped. Got tired of having my heart stomped. Three good seasons since I graduated: 1998, 2012, and 2020. The rest all looked like this. Why we can't seem to find one freaking coach over so many years just boggles the mind. People say it is our culture, but A&M grads excel in so many areas. I just don't understand it.

We have the resources and give the football program plenty of support, but we just can't find a consistent winner. I am not ready to write off this season, or the Elko hire based on one game, but it sure wasn't the start that everyone hoped for.

He quit, and so did elko. Looked like they didnt care.

I was expecting to see more from a Klein offense but they have no ability to throw the ball down the field. Yes, ND defense was good and Conner struggled with progressing through the reads and having time. I don't think we had a completion that traveled more than 6-8 yards. That is not going to cut it going forward. If you cannot push the ball downfield then they just stack up to stop the run.

That is probably the best defense we see based no the schedule but we have to score more point.

Overalll, Defense was as good as I thought, Offense was anemic!!!

They need to get it together over the next few weeks.

We just found out we dont have a qb. This is season is going to be just like the last 2. Beat aome dawgs and lose to all the good teams.

The Elko hire was the Stoops hire part two. The only difference was Stoops had a longer resume. I'm not giving up on the hire yet…Elko could be everything we hope for. But the hire was the antithesis of daring or visionary. And that attitude permeates A&M football.

...... And, dove season starts tomorrow. Thanks for the early out. I'll enjoy deer season right afterward. Not paying any attention any more to overpaid, under performing namby pambies, that wouldn't have been at my school, without NIL. Like it use to be on steroids. It's a shame.

Same. Gearing up for deer/turkey season! I'm actually relieved that I won't be missing anything.

Just heard they are going to work on some things and try it again next week.
