The fact it wasn't even considered- going for it on half a yard- is an indication what Elko thinks about his ability to push the ball forward. No confidence, try not to lose attitude.
That could be the play of the game.

Inside your own 25? That's just dumb. If we are close to the 50 yard line we are thinking about it. But the way our defense is playing...make them drive the ball down the field.

That's an extremely risky play that if goes wrong costs you the game. Coaches get fired for plays like that.
