Notre Dame and Clemson conspired to steal the playoff spot TAMU earned in 2020 and succeeded.
The looters, thieves of the Irish media complex with their accomplice Dumbo the fraud Sweeney must face the consequences for their scams.

These Con-artist had no right to call Miami convicts, no right to be in the CFB playoff, their cabal must be exposed, I suspect ND goes down like green turn in a toilet.

Ohio State playing like 6 games and getting in was the more egregious pick

I think Indiana was their best win that year…

Every week the b10 would come up with new rules for osu.

Possibly yes, but Ohio State is the team that didnt deserve it.

They were given a spot essentially only because of the old traditional mindset that permeates the sport from the history of the polls. Basically college football teams are historically given their spot at the beginning of the year and have to lose their way out of it rather than earn their way in through wins. Ohio State hadnt lost, so therefore their preseason rating was justified even though they didnt really beat anybody either. It's stupid. The focus on the controversy between A&M or Notre Dame then became a distraction, so this issue was able to be ignored and not even discussed.

Ohio State was the team that hadnt done anything to justify inclusion except have their reputation intact from the beginning of the year.

We could pretend it's 2021 and run the table like we are angry…

Florida State last year was an indication that maybe this "traditional" mentality is maybe finally running its course, but it remains to be seen. It could just an example of "any justification to get the teams in that we want to be in."

Thankfully, the larger the playoff is, the less of an impact on the final result that it will have.

Only reason I like the expanded playoff.

Of course it kinda felt like they started making controversial picks on purpose to push they playoff. But that's a different story...

This. And on top of that they tried to strong arm college football as a whole and have the season canceled in the name of faux politics.

We were robbed that year, but….

If we had gotten into the playoffs the most likely outcome was a first round ass kicking. Instead we got a fun orange bowl win.

To use the admittedly tired basketball analogy, is it better to win the NIT or lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament? I'd much rather have the shot at winning it all and getting bounced rather than a nice consolation prize.

We would have got smoked, and bad, but Jimbo would have never got that ridiculous extension. As it was, we were very close to getting beat by a depleted NC team, but a stupid 4th down call by Mack, and Achane's heroics bailed us out.

You say that, but everyone still makes fun of TCU and they made it to the title game.

Realistically, we had no shot. That 2020 team was good, but we weren't winning a playoff game. Like said above, we struggled against UNC's 2nd string players until Jimbo let Achane do his thing.

On top of that, playoffs weren't even needed that year because Bama was so much better than everyone else.

ESPN gave our playoff spot to ND in 2020 just like they gave FSU's spot to the sips last year.

We need a Gameday sign mapping the 12 Disney princesses (Disney's favorites) to ESPN's favorite teams (ND, sips, USC, OU) to the 12 playoff spots with a caption like "Money talks, W-L record walks."

National visibility and kicking people's butts are not unrelated. The broader access should promote money flow, visibility, and parity.

Again, OSU took the spot, ND didn't.

No one stole our spot. You gotta earn it
