Haha, this reminds me of one of my 10th grade games. Our varsity that year had a ton of seniors, very few underclassmen were on varsity. So all the best 10th grade players were on the 10th grade team. Needless to say we were beating teams pretty bad.

So one game the coaches were goofing around and sent us out in punt formation on a 1st or 2nd down. We were running one of our fake punt plays. And if I remember correctly we are fairly close to the goal line, so way close closer to actually punt.

As we lined up getting ready to run the play the defense started to yell "watch the fake", "watch the fake". Several of us started laughing on the field. Good memories.

Whatever it takes to win whether the game is boring or exciting.

IDK I prefer watching a bubble screen the results in a tackle for a loss...

Where the WR gives half effort and misses the block (for the third time in the game) then get visibly upset at himself.

We couldn't even *execute* our main offense. Doesn't surprise me Jimbo had no interest in deception or trickery beyond the occasional TE block/release to the backside (which was almost always effective).

I also had no confidence whatsoever that we could protect long enough to get some of those plays off.

I am looking forward to at least something fresh and creative from Klein. It can't possibly be any worse than the square peg/round hole beating our heads against the wall offense we were running. Felt like any negative play at all signaled the end of the drive.

I can't remember the last time we ran a trick play that I liked or was effective.

I can't remember the last time we ran a trick play, period.

did jimbo ever run a trick play?

Of course he did.

After a timeout or to start a quarter, Jimbo's trick play was to get the ball snapped before Delay of Game.

He ran it about 1/3 of the time.

This old, tired reply is so lame.

Just win… yeah it's that simple. Nothing else to discuss.

Quadruple reverse to the short side of the field, gain of a yard.

Pass clear across the field to a WR on the sideline, guy misses a block, loss of three.

1st Offensive Snap Against Norte Dame: Victory Formation.

2nd Offensive Snap Against Notre Dame: An 80 yard TD bomb to Moose.

Sizzle enough for ya???

I want to see a balanced and highly effective offense.
But I don't care if it "sizzles" or not.

4 yds and a cloud of dust is just fine, so long as we're getting the 4+ yds
