Paid $1K for tickets on TickPick for the LSU game, and all it tells me is that they promise to get me the tickets at least 1 day in advance of the game. Sure hope they actually deliver. Never used that site before.
I got the same BS email regarding the ARK game....and those tics weren't at paupers rates either......

I've been paying $100+ for nose bleeds to the McNeese State type games for years.

Well, until I stopped going in 2019 (I think).

I now buy season tickets on YouTube TV, and the concessions are much better and cheaper

Tickets are expensive what with the ridiculous expectation of proper spelling of QB1s name.

Trying to go to first game since 2020 LSU, Covid year. I've been overseas the past 4 years.

I'm looking at Notre Dame tickets and just wow. You'd think we won the natty last year.

2013 Auburn, with Johnny (that was a horse collar), I used the bidding app and got first deck, 20th row, 20 YD line for 70 bucks per ticket.

I guess those days are long gone.

I can understand the high prices for almost all of these games. But Cincinnati at Colorado, seriously?!?
If you lived in Cincy…

I don't get it; the game is a home game for Colorado. Like if it was home for Cincinnati, you could say "Well, it's a big home game in a new conference." But what does Colorado care about Cincinnati? Is everyone in Cincinnati going to Colorado? Really strange.

Higher than Bama-Georgia…. Crazy.

It's a Twitter post, those numbers are no way scientific.

There are few tickets available to CO/Cincy, which just means they haven't released their tix yet to be resold.

A quick glance at Bama/UGA tells you those are going for way higher.

Texas vs Michigan makes the list, but not Ohio St. vs. Michigan?
Maybe nobody sells their tickets to Ohio St vs Michigan since it is the aftermarket that drives the prices.
Sure, I guess those two fanbases could have figured out how defy the law of supply & demand/prisoner's dilemma. Or, maybe just the graphic is wrong.

I have season tickets in the lower Zone armchair seats - not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive/desirable.

The total cost for 7 games comes out very close to $200/seat per game. If you consider that the cupcake games are more like $100 market value (still crazy high for the quality of those match-ups), then the other more desirable SEC match-ups (and Notre Dame game) are avg $275 cost.

Wow. I have 4 in Sect 243, back row, right below where they film. $77/ticket.

The other day I saw a FB post by Seth Small's wife looking for a reasonable deal on tickets for them for the tu game.

It's crazy to think that the guy who nailed the Bama game winner could get priced out of attending.

Back in the day, the "donation" amount was much less. Those ticket prices are not only for the actual ticket, but often include the "donation" amount in them.

For most people that "donation" is not tax deductible any longer due to IRS changes which exclude "seat licenses" or "donations" required by athletic departments to secure athletic event seating. So, in order for ticket holders to try and recoup some of that donation, you have to add it to the ticket price. Since many games are not desired, more has to be collected for desirable games like Notre Dame, tu, Bama, etc.

Just the way it is.

I just looked, and these prices are WAY low. I'm directly under the big scoreboard, and my non-premier seats are at $500+ and $900+ for ND and tu, respectively.

If they only need 2 I'd be honored to have them sit with me, I've got 2 free ones in the nose bleeds of west prime bench on the 45 for them. But I don't FB, so I'm clueless on how to see if they still need tickets.

OK, messaged him on LinkedIn to see if they still need tickets. Not like this is some selfless thing like all the people that donate tickets to Veterans they've never met. I think it would be cool to meet and watch the game with an Aggie Football hero. Shoot they're welcome at my buddies' tailgate too. I'd bet they'll get a better invitation between now and then. I can't believe the athletic department doesn't take care of former players and hook them up with tickets and field passes whenever they want them. Sad really.

How many former players do you think would request tix to this year's Texas game?

We gotta have room to manage a football game down there.

I'm an old Ag, back from when the t.u. game in the old Kyle Field required temporary bleachers behind the south end zone and folding chairs on the sidelines. I'm sure there is a limit on how many credentials they can pass out, but come on, the guy gave a lot of blood sweat and tears up for our team, and as the poster above pointed out, he's got a relationship with Coach Elko, this shouldn't be a big ask.

But as I said, I would be pumped at the opportunity to offer him some tickets and food and camaraderie at our tailgate if he wants to be among the faithful commoners.

I'm at $230/seat. I get people not wanting to pay that for every game of every season, but single game purchasers should expect to pay $350+ each for ND, Mizzou, LSU, and tu. With probably $500+ to ND and tu, especially this year.

Those of us who get season tickets choose to pay for every game through good times and bad... If I'm gonna sell a hot ticket, I'm going to make a profit for taking the risk.

Demand and Supply, buddy.
There must be enough people paying those insane prices. Else they would be reducing them.
When people stop caring for A&M tickets, demand will reduce and so will prices.

FOMO wins again.

Fear of not being able to brag to people on IG or at the country club you're going to be at THE sporting event in Texas in 2024.
Fear of not seeing a potential Aggie win over Texas since 2010 or the first one at Kyle since 2007.

What's INSANE is the emotion people invest in "college" sports. The ticket prices are what they are.

That last line is seriously crazy, especially as a reformed carer. I can't believe how much emotional capital people waste on things they have no control over.

Hey guys relax. Driving up inflation makes the national debt more manageable in comparative terms. Just think of all the money politicians get to spend and launder by doing this. And also by doing this, they can solve all of the problems that [insert political opponent here] caused! It's really [the previous administrations] fault that you have to push your retirement back anyway. They are just fixing the problem. It is just sound economics. They have found that 9 out of 10 donors economic professors agree.
