FBS schools are allowed 25 practices starting 29 games before their first game.

With us starting tomorrow (7/31), will Elko try to get all 25 practices? Hopefully so and curious how he breaks it up.
Also curious if half-shell walkthroughs & film days constitute as "practice". I don't believe so.

He said after the 2nd Scrimmage (which is Practice #16 or #17) they'll begin Notre Dame prep.
Wonder if he decides to just do no-pad walkthroughs/film sessions that last day (or two) before the game.

25 practices seems like a lot to me also. I guess limited contact allows them to have more.

Yep two a days were brutal back about 50 years ago.

It's 16 or so before the second scrimmage. Which according to Elko is the end of the "camp" period. Then they turn their attention to prep for ND specifically.
