Again, how would feel about a song that contained lyrics promoting cop killing in the original format, but a sanitized version sans those lyrics became available? Still support the song? One that extolled the virtues of slavery? Still ok? Knowing full well what the lyrics were in lyrical version? Wouldn't be my cup of tea for sure, but I realize some might get into that. We will never know how popular the song might have been as the song with the garbage lyrics came out prior to the one that was attempted to be sanitized. It's sorta pointless at this time to even debate/discuss this. Once it was determined the artist was a racist, team Bjork wisely "pivoted away" from the mess. It was the power fan-boys sad and concerning attempts on multiple platforms at rationalizing the song as being a good representation of TAMU that really added fuel to the on-going removal process. You wouldn't believe the totally bizarre stuff that came up. Well, perhaps you might. A very successful ending to it all I might add. For trolling, I certainly put a lot of time and effort into setting things right. And yes, the song is weak..cartoonish...Sat am cereal advertising material. Lacking power ironically.Definitely Not A Cop said:
Your argument is that without lyrics that sucked, the song wouldn't be popular? Very illogical.
How would an instrumental song encourage cop killing?
Again, some folks do not think racial slurs and profanity are beneficial to society nor a productive representation of TAMU. Not needed. Primitive. Dumb.
Bottom line...we are free.
