Have there been any updates on Bussey?

One guy doesn't make a team.

The last time I heard Brauny talk about him he said something to the effect that it would take something special to happen on one of these visits for him not to sign with A&M.

I mean, he kind of did.

he will sign on Feb 7th outside of that it's anyone's guess.

but my guess is he ends up signing with us.

IMHO, there's a reason he's still with us. Don't know anything or anyone...but the man sticking around is a good sign. I hope the visits are for personal fun/experience and not serious business.

As of now things look good. Still have to weather his visits to LSU and UGa.

UGA has made up a lot of ground....amazing how much apparently as they came out of nowhere or later in the process.

Think 3-way coin toss and last visit is always good...unless cancelled. Hoping a couple of A&M signings and other team connections help close the deal.

Having the last official always helps...

Knowing his story this kid needs family, stability. Come to A&M and you'll have family for the rest of your life. This is the message that differentiates UGA, LSU and A&M. I'm hopeful our coaches can frame this the right way.

UGA is least likely with LSU being the biggest threat.

Hopefully he signs with us. Kid has a story we all can get behind

He's still committed to the good guys so hopefully he'll stick to it. Based on everything I've read and heard Bussey appears to be a stand up guy from a character standpoint.

I would feel alot more confident if it was the same staff still recruiting him.. but I am in no way saying we should have kept Jimbo. As much as recruiting is about NIL, relationships matter especially with a guy like this.

Go away LSU and Coach Dancin' Machine.

Timpson, TX to Baton Rouge, LA... freaking awful drive.

Hope Terry will stay on track with Coach Elko and Ish... way better drive down US 59 and TX 21 to Bryan College Station and the Good Guys.

If it's not A&M you have to hope for UGa. Are the sips still in it?

Down to A&M, LSU, and Georgia. Georgia doesn't need anymore freakin talent IMO, they are loaded, but a clear 3rd in this recruitment.

My understanding is that he doesn't want to go too far from home so that really leaves it down to us and LSU

Nothing is certain until Coach Kelly grinds on them a bit. If they enjoy it, they go to LSU. If it ain't their thing they go somewhere else. Most can't truly make up their mind until they experience it one way or the other.

Weird coincidence. I ran into Georgia's DB coach at the airport yesterday flying from Tampa to Love Field. I asked him if he was going to see Bussey and he smiled but didn't say anything.

The other way sounds ominous.

I wouldn't know Bussey if I walked past him on the street, but from everything you read about him he doesn't sound like one of these drama queens. He just seems like a decent kid who is trying to make the best decision for himself. I hope he signs with us, but can't really fault him if he decides another school might be a better fit.

Since portal-mania started, it's also nice to not be nearly so concerned with what these kids do out of high school. There's often second chances at a lot of them later on.

I doubt Georgia has any chance NIL money from them is generally around 20% of what the big boys offer. Think it comes down like a nfl free agent who will guarantee the most for the longest. Longest meaning year 3. I would wager on the good guys
