Folks have clamored for Dat or Dan or enter name here to come coach at Texas A&M, Jordan is cut from that cloth. JP got the most out of his ability when he played here (during the Fran era). High effort, coach on the field, lunch pail guy….here he is.

So with tony jerod eddie. We have two former Aggie players on the defensive staff.

Did he have something like a 43 inch vertical leap at Fran's infamous Night of Champions?

I like his YouTube videos. He is a great psychologist and helped me be a better person.

I read top recruiter in the big 12 and #45 nationally. Probably the new big 12 but to do that well at Kansas is respectable.

A scrappy, shows up first leaves last, coach on the field type. Welcome Home Coach.

All time hustle play by him to chase that guy down and knock it out at the goal line, I'm sure he will get his players to play hard!

My family and I were at the Ags vs Missouri game in 2006. On the third play of the game the tigers hit a receiver for a deep pass and he was behind the secondary . Nothing but green between him and the end zone. However, Jordan Peterson caught up to him just before the goal line and punched the ball out of his hands and out of the end zone which gave the ball to the good guys. Preventing that touchdown kept Missouri from scoring and that 7 pts which was the difference in the game. Peterson was a very heads up player. I'm sure he will be a great coach!

Would NOT be surprised if he was recommended to Elko by our New OC.

Collin Klein was at K State, and Peterson was at Kansas. I doubt they knew each other very much.

Anyone else having flashbacks of Jordan getting burned at the end of the tech game (they were picking on him all day) and us losing at Kyle?

Knew his tactics from watching film and crossing paths on the recruiting trail perhaps.

Does this fall under the old adage of those who can't do teach? I still have PTSD from watching him play DB. It was recruits like him that got Fran and Sherman fired. Jeez! And I mean no offense. I'm sure he is a great Aggie and human.

No offense but I'm going to be completely rude and offensive in my statement. No offense of course.

Nick Saban's college football career was anything but spectacular.

Guy is terrible at playing db. I guess if he is going to coach them at what not to do then that might work. Every team knew he couldn't cover and gave up the deep ball. He got taken balls deep more times than Lena the plug in her bbc video debut.

It appears your expertise lies more in accessing BBC than football coaching.

This thread has either some of the worse trolls on this site or some of the dumbest posters.

I don't think you can equate playing ability, good or bad, to coaching ability. Let's see how his secondary performs first before we form opinions.

Zero correlation between physical ability and mental aptitude. Many of the absolute best coaches were avg or below avg in ability, they had to learn schematics and to be detail oriented to survive, Know quite a few accomplished athletes that can't teach jack. Always relied on superior athleticism to be successful.
