I feel we hear this a lot once a kid leave a school, not just us. I wonder how many of these kids have a lawyer look at these deals with them and explain things.

This is what happens when you're coddled by parents, peers, fans, and the entire entitlement culture. This is the first time he quit something and the music stopped for him.

Played for a snake oil salesman and then got swindled? No surprise there.

wasn't he the one saying at the time of his initial signing that a&m wasn't his best financial option (i think implying tennessee was.)

He had another year left on his NIL deal. Which meant we still owed his marketing rights to his NIL for 2024. Thats probably what he was referencing. It wasnt the easiest for him to find a school or pay for those rights plus pay him on top of that.

If he's doing a public service announcement it should apply to all schools. Leaving A&M will likely have the same consequences as any other school. Perhaps you have to pay money back if you get money up front contingent upon staying a certain amount of time. If you're driving a car, you might have to give it back. Any kid that attends Ole Miss should read any NIL agreement they sign to understand the ramifications of not fulfilling the terms. Perhaps one shouldn't jump into the portal before fully understanding the fallout. That's how contracts work.

All these guys have agents that are responsible for their NIL deals. The main problem is these guys are more interested in the $s and not the contract details.

If you watched Walter play it was obvious his nil contract did not require him to play with effort more that 5 plays a game.

I thought NIL deals were year to year? Particularly A&M NIL deals. On top of that, I believe deals with existing players go from January to December for this exact reason. Did he think he would get another year despite not being at the program that the NIL is involved in?

No NIL deal is the same. For all we know it could be a lump sum payment paid back in full if the length of term is not fulfilled.

Maybe the rents had to packup and leave The Woodlands cause Walt chose to bail - oh well, if you don't read your contract, that's your mistake.
