They're in trouble for NIL violations.

2 years of probation and one year without NIL.

How can you have NIL violations when there are no rules?
Hi, Im Brett

Ouch. 1 year without NIL seems like a hard sell on the recruiting trail.

Thank goodness Ags are paying the right people. FSU is more of a "name brand" than A&M despite JFF, layup orange bowl win, beating Bama/LSU a handful of times this could easily be the Ags.

Some might not want to hear it, but it is true.

No way NCAA can enforce no NIL for a school after the previous court cases. NCAA is such a joke. I'm sure FSU will tell the to get bent and take them to court.

How can the NCAA enforce a rule on something that isn't even supposed to be delegated through the university?
If Laynes negotiated a deal with Weigman without going through A&M how can the NCAA prevent that from happening? By making Weigman ineligible?

I'd just tell the NCAA to piss off and keep doing what I wanted. The NCAA is a joke and colleges should just ignore them at this point.

I don't know why this is so hard. NIL is designed to be separate from the college football program it theoretically supports.

There are protocols/rules regarding communications between the NIL fund and the Football Program representatives. Proper protocols will have firewalls between the College Representatives (Coaches, Staff, University officials) and the independent NIL programs. If the line between the two becomes too fuzzy (think Coaches contacting the NIL on behalf of the prospective athletes or having discussions about about who to pay what)....then there is no real separation between the two and VOILA violations..

And you think schools are going to let the NCAA decide what is fuzzy? The schools have no use for the NCAA at this point.

Im saying EXACTLY what I said. Athletes can take NIL money and there is no risk to the student or the university as long as the NIL stays arms length. If football staff or university agents are contacting and coordinating with NIL agents...its a school violation. Yes. I think there are rules about it and Yes its punishable by the NCAA.

As a fan of a program that has been disproportionately victimized by the NCAA, it's really ironic that you'd blame the victim here.

The NCAA is fighting to stay in "business."

A 18-22 isn't owned by the NCAA. So strange to think that the NCAA makes money off of universities by breaking laws.

Sounds like Texas Family Courts.

This is my question. Doesn't fit.

I didn't think the ruling is saying FSU players can't have NIL deals, just saying the school can't associate with their NIL collective. I'm not sure that that really means, though, because I thought they weren't supposed to be associated anyways (even though they all are).

Cost us our '94 season as well. Undefeated, no tv, no bowl game, couldn't even be ranked.
