Kicking the dead horse here, but yeah, Jimbo's stubbornness, inability/refusal to adapt, and zero innovation on offense led to his firing. As soon as he was gone there were new offensive play calls that were successful and it seemed as though the hand cuffs were taken off the QB.

The adjustments made during the bowl game, which would not have been done under Jimbo, told us all we needed to know about who was responsible for how bad the offense was with him in charge.

Could it have been RC's lack of influence in 2020? I guess we will never know for sure.

RC's influence almost got us Mike Stoops. Don't ever forget that!

The "Quarterback Whisperer" was mostly seen yelling at his quarterbacks.

App State Coach put the wheels in motion on Jimbo
This right here. App State started the death spiral. After that it was just a matter of time. No coach worth a damn lets that happen to his team.

No. Jimbo got Jimbo fired.

This. It was his stubbornness.

If he let Petrino have complete control of the offense he'd probably still be coaching. That doesn't mean we'd be SEC Champs but we'd probably be 10-3 or 11-2 right now.

So glad it didn't happen because Petrino unleashed still not the answer!
Fight against the dictatorship of the federal bureaucracy!
