They've backdoored, again, they're way in to the CFP. If it were TCU or Baylor, they would have been left out. ESPN and the media "want" them in because of the exorbitant amount of Wal-Mart shoppers buying their gear. Fact is, they're a cash cow and we are not. They didn't get those "overhyped" 5* spoiled brats because they're a better program, it's about money....period. Reality will slap them in the face very soon.

The portal changes signing day. Where someone signs in December has little impact on where they will play in 2 years. If there is one thing Jimbo taught us, signing top talent in the SEC does not necessarily create success.

As far as the hero's welcome, it certainly won't be for lack of effort from ESiPN and their simps at SECN. The fellating of tu has been nonstop for a year now and has only ramped up since the network……..errrrr, "committee" installed them as a playoff participant. Most of the t shirt sips I know (since I only know one person who actually ATTENDED there) didn't really want to go to the SEC in the first place. But as long as Disney has Snakey swinging from their junk by his mouth………get used to it. I don't think most SEC schools care for them as it sits right now. They're REALLY gonna love em once they get to know them and how they operate.

Bama got very lucky to beat a bad Auburn team and had they lost we wouldn't be having this discussion. The results on the field are why the sips are in the playoffs. They earned it.

Like I have said, and keep saying, the fact that OSU ended up in the title game with the two blow out losses they suffered proves that the big 12 as a conference is terrible. Not hard to blow your wad if you only need to do it for one OOC game a year.

Texas can't control who the play. OSU rightly fully made it to the conference championship game and they annihilated them. Big 12 isn't top heavy for sure but they have held their own when they've played against other P5 conferences this year.

I would be more concerned about this development if we were competing for a DFW title and not a SEC title.
