My evidence:
- Fuller and Elko coached together at Richmond for a year.
- ACC coach of the year last year.
- FSU's defense is pretty sporty.
FSU feels like they still have something to prove is why nothing has been announced?

Fuller got the extension bc Elko was trying to hire him. Elko gave it a shot.

I'm sure he's going g to get a solid DC with common philosophies.

I get the feeling it will be a Tim DeRuyter type. Someone who has had a great defense at a G5 program. Maybe DC from Ohio, Miami (OH), Troy, etc. No intel, just wouldn't surprise me.

I'd like to see someone like Phil Parker (Iowa DC) great coach who has produced solid defensive talent over the years. He would fit the narrative of getting back to blue collar type attitude under Elko and would hopefully get the players (Much more talented on paper)

My fear is that on the biggest stage in the SEC he will eventually get swooped up and leave upon a HC offer from another Power 5 school or he isn't the best recruiter within this part of the country.

Not sure either has accepted or had further conversations about said offers.

This is what I'm hearing, and there is/was interest. With any luck, it will happen. Aaron Glenn would be a slam dunk.

I don't want Durkin back. He could pull together a decent top-level gameplan, but was unable to produce an answer (incl. DB recruitment & coaching) to the more capable passing attacks, even with an astronomical stockpile of talent at DL.

We have datapoints that he's not up to snuff and IMO we're better off betting on a promising unknown than going with a known shortfall.

How would your grandmother know?

Both could be unemployed by end of NFL season (esp Allen and maybe before the end of the season).

Need a DC who can recruit.....we have some on Elko's staff, but he's doesn't have enough top recruiters at the moment.

No idea if Glenn or Allen really want to do that w HS prima donnas or would even be good at it.
