Posting this on the Football board but the pinnacle of Aggie athletics was almost a decade ago if you look at the numbers...

• Golf (1): 2009
• Indoor Track and Field (1): 2017
• Outdoor Track & Field (4): 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013

• Recent Women's Championships

• Basketball (1): 2011
• Outdoor Track and Field (4): 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014

Yes, there have been a number of team titles won by varsity and club sports teams but even most of those were last won in the 2000s/2010s. Meanwhile, our ranking in the Director's Cup has dropped appreciably over the past decade.

I may get heat for this - but I just read t.u. just notched their second consecutive national championship in women's volleyball. Their football team is in the playoffs. Their baseball team almost made the World Series. Ad nauseum... Let's be honest, they will continue to make great strides when moving over to the SEC.

I'm curious to hear from others what is going on in Aggie Athletics? Why the drop in national appearances? Is it the Athletic Director? Honest answers please...

Yikes. That's a big indictment in Aggie Athletics. I'm proud of our athletes and will take any championship, but those are all non-revenue generating sports.

But they graduate. We are Standord want to be's. No major sports championships in store for us.

of college sports is that we have not even played for a national title in football, basketball or baseball since 1939. the numbers are mind boggling for a school with our resources. will always love the ags but dammmmnnn that's rough.

Wheres meat judging?!?!

Nothing is surprising about our national record until roughly 1980 eight years after women admitted to general student population and 12 after Bellard integrated football.

We played for regional acclaim until the lucky (but good) win against Kansas State. We played the budget hire game with minor exceptions until Sherrill, Fran, and Jimbo.

The fans refuse to reconcile that and still prefer no stars to five stars and have said so. Arguably we have been relegated back to the dustbin unless Elko can recruit like Fisher did and develop, scheme, adjust, and put them in the draft consistently.

I think it's three years to get any clue. But Mike is smart and sometimes smart guys make immediate changes that click.

Will the fan base recognize the continuing opportunity to step up or blackmail the department every three years in every sport?

Fill venues and prove you truly care. Or don't.

Could be putting all that NIL money and coaches salary into pushing A&M to be the best STEM university in the country

Do we add that Baylor has a basketball title, and TCU and Tech have been in title games.

Why picking on the meat judging...he's right, we did win a NC in that and part of the irony of all of it. Where's women's equestrian...didn't we sneak a NC in there once (guess by the 2nd link, we've done well in that sport??

It hit me hard this am when my little nephew said to me " Uncle Gunny, you know the t-sips are just a few referee mistakes from winning a national championship."
He is 13 but been watching Aggie football since he was five I think.
I realized that we may start the new year with t.u. Having a fresh new natty.

Schloss had a great run his 1st year and then pitching woes caused a mildly disappointing 2nd season. Meanwhile, the key baseball rival's 2nd year coach aced the transfer portal and won the CWS.

Schloss did a great transfer for this year, but Omaha winning pitching is a big question mark.

There are many stupid, off the wall, and otherwise goofy things in this world, but Quidditch ranks right up there at the top. I can only imagine what the people are like in person who ride on a broom and play that game.

Let's say you owned a multimillion $$$ company that manufactured and sold its products and your managers kept hiring sales guys that failed and cost the company lots of expenses etc.
What would happen to those managers?
You would fire their incompetent butts!
How come we don't do that to our folks that keep making those bad decisions???? How come????

We became Aggie fans in 2010 when our daughter started at A&M, as the first Texas Aggie in the family. I thought things were going really good under that AD (Bill?), and I couldn't understand why Aggies criticized him so much, and eventually ran him off.

I often wonder what this past decade would have been like with Bowtie, Bill, and Sherman, but then again I don't wear the ring.
