Posting this on the Football board but the pinnacle of Aggie athletics was almost a decade ago if you look at the numbers...
Yes, there have been a number of team titles won by varsity and club sports teams but even most of those were last won in the 2000s/2010s. Meanwhile, our ranking in the Director's Cup has dropped appreciably over the past decade.
I may get heat for this - but I just read t.u. just notched their second consecutive national championship in women's volleyball. Their football team is in the playoffs. Their baseball team almost made the World Series. Ad nauseum... Let's be honest, they will continue to make great strides when moving over to the SEC.
I'm curious to hear from others what is going on in Aggie Athletics? Why the drop in national appearances? Is it the Athletic Director? Honest answers please...
