Malik could have taken heart from Bama benching Hurts for Bryce in the title game a few years back and the starter having to transfer to OU, but that seems relatively unique and in the current NIL/transfer era with Ewers saying he's coming back and Manning waiting in the wings you just have to thank him for helping us get there.

He was not the back up. It was Simpson. And he totally sucks.

Bama makes the playoffs all the time and don't lose players that are needed in the playoffs. So my point is still as valid as it was when I first noted it.

With the expanded playoffs starting next year, the portal and national signing dates should be adjusted to start upon completion. There won't be a month long delay any longer before all those games starting. I can't imagine dealing with the portal and recruitIng while involved in the playoffs.

A smart one. If we suck and they are great, I'll not only gouge them on my tickets, but gouge them renting my 2nd house to them in College Station. Watch it on tv, and your life isn't impacted one bit.

He was a 5* and super promising. Obvious transfer and think hes a pro.

Just just shows me that they don't have control of their team. I think they lose to Wash big, like by 3 TDs. I'm not convinced Murphy is any good anyway so I'm not sure how Ewers getting hurt is going to be much of a difference with or without Murphy. They will lose anyway.
