Bet Walt's Dad collecting money along the way…part of the reason this all unfolded as such as he started the we need to be paid more scenario.

If Jimbo was here, we'd cave and gamble on one player. We have glaring holes in the secondary (still do and did even if Chappel was still here).

Would be hilarious if Nolan collected $20K in visit fees and ended up staying here.

The number I heard from another fan base he is visiting, is 7 figures for his last year before declaring for NFL. Oregon/Nike, no problem. Ole Miss/The Grove Collective, they are "all in" on resources to land him to make run in playoffs. How far over that minimum 7 figures is only limited by whoever wants his services the most. We will never know for sure.

Well, we lost Chris Marshall and Denver Harris, so perhaps that careless attitude you mock is actually because many of us are numb to the idea of another top-rated recruit from that historic class disappearing. It's not a coping mechanism as you subtly suggest, but rather the realization that Jimbo appears to have run his program like Butterteeth did just before his similar demise, whereby both had disciplinary issues, selfish players (even though NIL now encourages this behavior), & an over reliance upon evaluations by "recruiting analysts" instead of 'boots on the ground.' Jimbo became our Mr. February, & it's both depressing and worrisome that our admin & football program conducted themselves like t-sips for a stretch. The new sheriff Elko isn't going to cotton to that type of nonsense, & if the rumors are true, many of these kids leaving is a 'mostly positive' for the long-term stability of the program.

Accordingly, I hope Nolan stays an Aggie & produces to his potential, but I wouldn't be shocked if his career is some Shakespearean tragedy that we've repeatedly seen, both in Mack's & Jimbo's snake oil tenures!!

He is a big loss but again he alone will not win us games we need to make sure we upgrade our secondary and most likely LB. So if keeping him prevents us from doing that then you have to cut ties.

I can go on with other things but some are just rumors and I don't like spreading them.

He might be number 1 overall in the 2025 draft. In fact, he is probably the favorite to go number 1 overall since I think the gloss came off Shad Sanders and Ewers doesn't have a very strong arm.

Nolan is an all pro for 10 years, not just an NFL guy. There is a reason the best player on the Aggie defense was whoever was lined up next to Nolan, he was double and triple teamed every single play he was on the field.

Lane comes off to me as that teacher that sucks but acts cool with the kids and lets them do what they want so they think he's the best teacher in the school.

I wish I would have known that Nolen was going to be in Eugene for a visit, I would have put on my maroon troll gear and walked around the Autzen complex with the dog for a while.

The weather wasn't that great this past weekend, I wonder how he felt about the rain?

It is a business and despite being money rich there is still limited funds to go around. If someone is offering a player $10 million and Elko thinks NIL money is better used on other players than that is where the funding goes. I do think he is one of the most talented DL in the country but there comes a point where paying someone more than their worth does not help you win a championship.

See the Yankees, always at the top of payroll yet they haven't won a championship since 2009. You can't guarantee wins by spending the most money

In my experience (HS) playing in the rain on defense was much easier than playing offense
