I'd be happy with Durkin but it's not likely to be him. Also Gene Chizik? Really? UNC's defense has not been good lately.

We have no clue who is on the candidate list. Keep in mind that philosophies have to align with Elko's, so not every DC in the country is on the list and that's OK.

We have almost no chance of having a full 2 deep on defense next year. Any coach taking the job is committing career suicide. That's the reason for the delay.

so what ur saying is we won't have 22 players on both sides of the ball. nit sure if you know but there are 11 players in each side of the ball. so two deep would be 22 on each side or a total of 44 players. we have 85 scholarships. it would take quite the exodus to not have a two deep in either side of the ball.

Durkin insisted on getting 25% up front. We balked, reminding him he's NEVER been the type to get a fourth down.

I'd be happy with Durkin but it's not likely to be him. Also Gene Chizik? Really? UNC's defense has not been good lately.
I'd also be happy with Durkin we should be better with improved secondary coaching... Total Defense has us ranked #9 overall giving up just 300 yards a game. What is concerning is the 5yds a play average which comes from explosive plays and short-yardage drives.
