Well, had a link posted saying the same, but it has been now removed...maybe a not so fast this early in the morning.

If true, Jury will be out for me...yea, get the stats stuff, but he's offense has been run heavy and too much QB runs (with big QBs). OL will have to improve tremendously or it doesn't work....well, no offensive scheme works.

I like it. Young up and comer that has been in demand. Like to establish the run, but not afraid to pass it downfield. KSU passed 34 times a game this year. Not 5 like some in a couple other threads seem to think.

Everyone's offense works in the Big 12.

I'm sure Elko based this hire off of philosophy as much as past production.

There's something to be said for hiring these guys who have a need to prove themselves. Motivation should be high.

Four of the top 5 defenses in the FBS are B1G schools, is that because they have the best defenses or plodding offenses? I don't think there is a way to compare offensive or defensive efficiency across conferences, B1G schools have good defenses, but a lot of the stats are from playing against B1G offenses. I think given the resource Klein will do a good job and play complementary football to the defense, with ball control but more explosiveness on offense than Jimbo had.

I love finally building from scratch with hungry young guys, even if it means growing pains. We've tried hiring the Big Names. Has not worked out at all since Jackie. This is an unknown for us…the uncertainty alone is refreshing for me.

Watch the games. I am basing my assessment on watching the games. Big 12 defenses stand straight up at the snap and look like high schoolers playing touch football on a basketball court for p.e.

Highly sought after up and coming OC that turned down some other high profile OC offers until the right one came along.

Had k state playing some of the best offense they've ever played. A Heisman finalist and someone who has a history of maximizing QB's talents.

Also used to be Director of Recruiting so should be able to bring in some good players.

He was our #1 choice. Great hire.
