ESPN, Sankey, and Texas are all in it together. All you have to do is take a look at the sip schedule next year. But, besides that, I've always heard that Sankey was a big time t-shirt sip fan when he lived in Texas while working for the Southland conference.

Texas tried to play us this year, when they were scheduling this season years ago. We told them no. So they scheduled Bama. Since we said no, they got Bama and won, and are now in the CFP. Thanks to us, they are now in the playoffs.

If Elko can't beat them on the regular he ain't the guy. It's yet to be known how regularly they will be on the schedule as there will not be a 9 conference game schedule anytime soon so this could be a 1 or two year thing now and again in 5 years. Why shrink from it?

Their recruits are no better than ours so those mentioning where they are due to SEC membership are wrong. They have a good coaching team and that is it. Jimbo did it himself.

Just look at the facts. They beat Alabama due to a weak Alabama team. Then they went on and played a wussy schedule and still got beat by a weak OSU team. There were two other games that could have gone wrong for them as well.

Our destiny is up to one thing. Coaching staff.

No, it's because too many people over the decades simply concentrated on the game with those POS, and a win by us made the entire season successful.

one big problem with the sips back on the schedule...

it creates the "one-game season" mentality among the fanbase again

I don't see the point in relitigating all of this now, what's done is done.

A&M beat the Longhorns on the regular all my childhood on through college. I grew up watching my dad pay off bets to his Aggie father law, my papaw. We never beat you while I was in Austin.
Guess that's why it's hard for me to wrap my head around Muy's POV. And you're the biggest university on earth (pretty much). come on

I started school in 1984 and I am the first in my family to attend A&M so I was not much of a fan before attending. I guess because we beat them so often in those years I never thought we were going to get screwed whenever we stepped on the field with them. As someone mentioned earlier, we are .500 with them since 1975 when scholarship limits began which indicates to me we are both good football programs when the rules are even.

I can't wait to start playing them again.

I'm old enough to remember and the rivalry needed to come back. It's bigger than A&M or horn. It's the entire state of Texas. I also don't think they will get the favoritism in the SEC they have enjoyed in the past.
