The key part in the entire story was when the lawyer stated imagine if it were your daughter.


Imagine if it were your team.

A&M, Washington, Clemson, Ole Miss….

Going 13-0 and being stiffed like this. This will probably go down as the biggest screw job of ALL time.

If it can happen to FSU, it can happen to any non blue blood team.


Starting with the 12 team playoff, it will be more about final bracket placement. Politics will drive who gets the easier match ups, who gets the home game etc.

I always thought, just win them all and it will take the politics out of the equation. I was proven wrong on that one today.

And with the bigger conferences and teams not playing each other as often it will be easier for the committee to pick 10-2 Alabama over 11-1 A&M because of "feels".

I don't have to imagine. Happened in 2020, although without A&M being undefeated but being in position for inclusion in the playoff as a 1-loss team.

It's not even politics at its base. It's just bare naked greed. The drive to have eyeballs watching ads.

I know there are a million hot takes flying around right now but I'll just say my personal enjoyment of college football took a pretty big hit today. We all know it's essentially a dirty business but having it forced to the light like this suspends the ignorance I try to keep about it.

Is always been a flawed system, this is a good one to close it off.

1 loss FSU jumped an undefeated A&M in the polls in November of 1992 based on the argument of strength of schedule. Hard to feel to sorry for them.

A few years later theyhad one loss and jumped a one loss notre Dane team that beat then on the field.

They've benefitted several times in the past

In 2000 a 1 loss FSU team was picked to place in the BCS against OU instead of a 1 loss Miami that beat FSU head to head. Again ... don't feel sorry for them. They've benefited a ton from the system over the years.

It's always been an OPINION BASED championship. Being undefeated doesn't mean ***** There have been many one and two loss teams that may or may not have been the best team. Undefeated teams have been screwed more than once in the past several decades.

A larger playoff has always been the only way to crown a worthy champ. Win when it matters and shut "Opinion Guy One's" pie hole. What was ESPIN's early season ratings push? "Look what Prime has done at CU. Top 25 team." LOL!

We all know tv ratings play a huge role in the past several "championship" models. It's always been rigged for some level of control. Now at least all they'll have is seeding as a control tool.

Any team without viewership advantages that was gifted a win by refs, on two different plays in one game, against a team like UofH would at least be facing that as a point of contention by a committee. Not to mention being the only team in consideration with a loss to a two loss team.

FSU not good enough because of injury to QB. TU beating a team with a fraction of the offense installed because of a QB with one game played. These two things are the same thing, but one doesn't seem to matter, AT ALL.

One game doesn't always say who is the better team, just who was better that day. That's football though versus other sports where teams play a series of games.
