Need Florida State to win in the event sips beat Ok State Saturday. Ohio State will get passed over. Any other scenarios?

#6 Ohio State has wins against:
#10 Penn State and #17 Notre Dame
that's a better resume than the sips...who just have the win over #8 Alabama and the win over #25 Kansas State on their resume
t.u. has played a rather soft schedule in the committee's eyes...which is why they are still stuck at #7
quit being Pollyanna and realize that ESPN wants Texas in the playoffs. None of your logical stuff matters when it comes to dollars and eyeballs.W said:

I doubt they'll mind letting both in if UGA loses a close one.JP_Losman said:

Wake me up the day sip gets screwed by anyone. That'll be the day.KCup17 said:
Texas will get screwed by the committee. The committee already favors Ohio st. If Washington and FSU win then there's no chance for the sips even if Georgia loses.
Yeah Georgia would be favored by maybe -5.Artorias said:

P12 winner is in
Michigan is in (no way they lose to Iowa)
The only chance sips has is FSU losing to Louisville. If they do sneak in and face UGA, it will be destruction comparable to TCU last year.

sips would keep it very close
I don't know what sites you frequent but the closest Vegas Power ranking I've seen would have it -9. Some would have it as high as -12.4everags84 said:Yeah Georgia would be favored by maybe -5.Artorias said:

Last year committee had tosu and Michigan both in....they won't do the same this year if Texas is sitting there with one loss. Same thing if Oregon beats Washington and UW has only one loss to a top 3 team. Committee is going to avoid 2 teams from same conference
The big question is what happens if FSU wins. Do they still put Texas in? I don't think they will but a lot of folks saying they need to put 4 BEST teams in and FSU with backup QB isn't one of the best. BUT in my opinion that argument would then open the door for Alabama. BC one could easily say bama now is not the same team that Texas beat and meanwhile Texas has barely beaten a couple crappy teams so as of now bama is one of the best

The sip whining about the rankings is not justified at all. They have one good win all year, and they lost to the only other good team they played. The BDF is basically the American this year, so they simply don't have a strong-enough resume overall. It's not that complicated. No one should be handed a playoff spot based on one game. The entire body of work should matter.

FSU is the odd man out due to the ACC. They wouldn't be favored against any of the other teams still in the mix.
The sips are in if they win. No way the committee screws them.
*Derp. If Bama wins that might mean no sips. The meltdown would be glorious.
