Pulling for Georgia because I hate window-licking Alabama and their inbred fans. I don't care who makes the playoffs or what conference they're in. Not going to ride coattails like Pig fans do.

Dawg all the way.

Gump win could open door for sips to the playoffs

rooting for Dawgs, Huskies, Seminoles and wolverines this weekend.

that ensures no sip in the playoffs.

Dawg for me. Gump could knock our conference out of the playoffs. Worse, assure that Sip gets in.

The probability of a Bama win getting two SEC teams in they playoffs is higher than the probability of a Bama win getting zero teams in.
You could not be more wrong.

A one loss non-conference champ is not getting in the playoffs this year (absent massive chaos like all of Michigan, Texas, and FSU losing). And Georgia would have no shot over Texas. Texas has the significantly higher SOS. Conference champ versus non champ.. And Texas would have the common opponent advantage, going on the road and beating by double digits the team that Georgia lost to in Atlanta, Georgia.

Assuming Texas beats Okie State, any of the following means Texas is in the playoffs.

FSU loses to Louisville.

Georgia loses to Alabama.

Michigan loses to Iowa.

So if you do not want Texas in the playoffs, root for Okie State, Georgia, FSU, and Michigan

I don't think the Oregon/UW game matters. I think Oregon is in over Texas if they beat UW. I guess there would be some small chance if Texas absolutely destroys Okie State and the Oregon/UW is close or ends in controversy. Or if Bo Nix got hurt bad near the end of the game. But the winner of that game is almost a lock for one of the spots.

Whether you like them or not, this weekend root for Georgia, Michigan, Washington, FSU and hopefully a miracle from SEC Shorts helps the Okies beat tu.

you are likely right, but I don't want to leave anything to chance.

Or you could read my post again. The probability of the SEC getting no teams in the playoffs is basically zero. Therefore, it's more probable that we get two SEC teams in the playoff with one loss each, even if it's unlikely.

Odd that the committee is weighing sips win against a bama team that had half of its offense installed and was starting a QB with minimal snaps.

If Bama beats Georgia, they would have the biggest win of the season and should be a shoe in.

A head to head at the beginning of the season does not take into account which team has improved the most or which team is currently playing better ball.
Or which team has a better overall resume.

I can see where MIchigan wins, Washington wins they both in and if Bama beats Georgia they both get in - just to screw tu.

would be greatness -- they would say Georgia gets a chance to defend their title. or some bs

So you think committee is going to look for an excuse o screw tu?

Poster above says they are looking an excuse to get them in.

Anything that keeps tu out. Right now it looks like Georgia, Michigan, Washington are in if they win conf championship games. Not sure who 4th team would be. Maybe Bama winning would possibly get both Bama and Georgia in? Almost forgot for about FSU. I guess they would be in if the can win this weekend. Kind of iffy without their QB.

No not iffy. LOL

They are NOT leaving out an undefeated FSU

SMH

I meant it's iffy that they win the ACC Championship game without Travis. I agree that if they win, they're in.

I'm for OK STATE or if they lose I'm for having some team jump over tu ranking.
If Bama wins in a close game maybe Georgia is only going to drop to #5 and the 3 teams with no losses can be #1 #2 #3; Bama (#4)

Georgia win also gives Bama two losses, which weakens Sips' SOS.

if you dont want 'sip, root Bama.

I think you were very wrong about that.

While I am not certain they would leave Georgia out with a loss, if Georgia wins that is much better for Texas not going

Well, it's possible Michigan could lose, I'm not gonna consider that for the scenario

Pac 12 winner is definitely in.

That leaves two games that matter for last two spots.

UGA & FSU win; Texas out
UGA & Louisville win: Texas IN
Bama & Louisville win: Texas IN
Bama & FsY Lu win: Texas may still get in, but Georgia has a shot, depending on the score.

So the only for sure scenario above where Texas is out is if UGA and Florida State win

Well... dammit, my plan has already been foiled.

I'll go with whatever keeps sippies out of the mix.
