Magneto,
In a word, yes, and well spotted!
Does it matter... again, in a word, yes. But why?
Regarding Bjork... if your supposition is accurate... I, personally, have no room for a manipulator of a fan base and invite him to move on to another that will put up with such shenanigans. Best case, if it truly was a manipulation - and - if he would like us to believe it was not... then once again... please move on before you attempt further devious control. Worst case, he truly is inept and in such a case please move on.
There is a middle ground where Bjork was being used by the powers that be to carry out their plan. In that case, too bad for us as it ushers in a new type of leadership. And if that is the case, again, I invite him to move on so we can get an AD that has more backbone and foresight.
As to Billy, we have to remember he is making a living with his reporting and releasing of information. His career would be short lived if he blurted out everything he knew as soon as he knew or suspected it. (And there are plenty of podcasts that will do that in case you need that fix... I do, but come back to Texags for a trusted baseline) Most probably we would act in the same manner as Billy if we were in his position assuming we want to continue with our work. Yes, he was part of the diversion either by choice or happenstance. I'd prefer it to be the latter.
Getting to the question of why it matters... Really, the only reason it does is to allow us to take a good long look and see the big picture, make a judgement for ourselves, and use that info to dwell on any future actions of this nature by Aggie athletics and Texags.
It is what it is ... and now, probably, it's time to go on with our lives and be the best Aggies we can be. Shrug if you like. Whoop if you like. But make sure to hug your loved ones.
