Go get him NOW instead of 2028!!!!
Because of idiots in charge. I'm sure people like you were happy/satisfied.with Stoops.TAMUallen said:
Not ready for head coach position. Already has been eliminated, give it up
Why is he not ready? Genuinely curious why you think that.TAMUallen said:

Here are some coaches in the hunt for playoffs:
Georgia - Kirby Smart (no HC experience before UGA)
Ohio State - Ryan Day (no HC experience before Ohio State)
Washington - Kalen DeBoer (2 years HC experience at Fresno)
Oregon - Dan Lanning (no HC experience before Oregon)
Texas - Sark (Needed Saban's HC rehab program)
Michigan - Harbaugh (NFL experience)
Florida State - Norvell (HC experience with Memphis)
Says who, Smart? The guy who wants him around for the playoffs? Bjork, who was looking at Stoops and Traylor?Quote:

Harbaugh had lots of college experience.

This is why we are constantly in this predicament...people in charge of Aggie Football think..."We're too good for that...we're A&M. We can't take an assistant or young guy...we're A&M".....on and on......
I live in Atlanta and work with lots of UGA grads... there's a reason they pay him close to $2 million. You're not wrong that those around the UGA program want to keep him aroundCaptain Awesome said:
All you need to know is that everyone at UGA is holding their collective breath hoping he stays. (I admit to slightly exaggerating. But you get the point.)
It's called a risk-averse conservative business approach and it screams A&M leadership lacks people with an understanding of the game.AgBQ1994 said:
Here's a list of assistants with no head coaching experience:
- Kirby Smart (he was my #1 choice in 2011...not Sumlin...how'd that work out?)
- Dan Lanning (Oregon says hello)
- Dabo Swinnney (Assistant before becoming HC...never HC before)
- Lincoln Riley (Assistant before becoming HC...never HC before)

It's time to take a chance and think outside of the box. I've paid for to 23 years of mediocre Aggie Football season tickets and would actually like to see us compete for NC in my lifetime....instead of saying it and creating feel-good videos about it!!!
Schumann was Smart's first hire at UGA.AtlantAg16 said:I live in Atlanta and work with lots of UGA grads... there's a reason they pay him close to $2 million. You're not wrong that those around the UGA program want to keep him aroundCaptain Awesome said:

Texags is the only place that feels he's ready.
As typical, of course we'd know better than anyone else.
Including the coaching circles.
