Sorry, he's 35-55 in the SEC East and has never won anything as a HC. His ceiling is mediocre

Winning 10 games at Kentucky is a miracle, and almost impossible and therefore giving Jimbo money to the guy that did it is a good idea. Thats the optimistic take.
Stoops is an even bigger loser than Fisher.

I honestly can't think of anything remotely positive outside of: he isn't the absolute worst coach in the world. Even if he doesn't have far to fall, there are some worse than him
The glass half full view is this talk of hiring Stoops is a distraction or a big trial balloon...and it deflates very fast for the sake of our beloved school!
Here's the best I can do and what I will keep telling myself as I try to sleep tonight:
He is a decent defensive coach, better than Durkin for sure. He's shown that he can recruit alright and hopefully he will be keep eRob as DC with Stoops focusing on coaching defense. Offensive coachin staff hires will be critical. Literally anyone is upgrade over our current OL coach

Stoops has had 10 players drafted in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round in the past 5 years...from Kentucky
that blows away Jimbo's draft performance and then some.

If he hires his brother Mike I think I will be broken. Mike is an awful coach and if that man is our DC I think I'm done lol.

Similar to Elko but with more experience. Has had more success than anyone else has at what is a clear basketball school. Several draft picks from UK during his tenure.
He should be less of a dick than Jimbo. I know he is leaving UK now… but he appears loyal. Bob is the most loyal MFer I've seen in awhile. Retired and left his school/next coach in a terrific position to maintain success. Hopefully whatever Bob knows, so does his little brother

The half-full for hiring Stoops is that it makes Jimbo looks even worse.
