I'd have them at 6. Oregon has 1 win over a ranked team and after tonight OSU will fall out of the top 20. Oregon looks good, but have lost to the only good team they've played. They have 1 semi-decent win and that was tonight at home. If Bama beats Georgia then things start to get interesting. Needs to be close though. If Georgia lays an egg and gets beat by 3 TDs they're out. FSU is the wild card to me. Can they keep winning without their QB. If they win out sips won't get in.

The best team on Bama's schedule so far is Texas. Head-to-head trumps SOS.

I was shocked to see ESPN having tu as the 6th SOS b/c they just haven't impressed me outside the Bama win.

After doing some research from other sites.

Texas has a higher SoS than Bama. And will after next week. Texas has a much, much higher SOS than UGA. It isn't close. UGA's schedule is garbage.

If UGA loses to Bama, there is no way they get in and Texas gets left out assuming Texas wins next weekend.

Texas has a good shot to get in over Bama also. That's a coin flip. Will depend on margins of victory next weekend.

Jumping Oregon if they beat Wash is unlikely but not impossible . Even though Texas has tougher SOS and better wins, Oregon probably would get the nod.

I don't think it will matter. I think FSU is going to lose one of the next two.

I seem to remember tcu losing the conference championship but still made the playoff. Nobody else should be an automatic out if they were undefeated.
