Jimbo is too busy trying to decide how many yachts he can water ski behind.

Jimbo is on his ranch probably doing the Johnny money to ear face.

He surely has some limitations on what he can say. Eventually something classy about appreciating the opportunity to coach at A&M and wishing the final tally of wins and losses had been different will emerge. 3-4 years after being fired, Tom Herman still doesn't say anything bad publicly about coaching at Texas.

He is waiting for us to realize we don't have any candidates who are sure fire replacements and are wasting $75 million so he can finish the season 9-4.

This

I'm sure if we gave him a buyout of the tune of $77 million there is a stipulation that slander or negative comments towards A&M if termination would occur is some sort of breach of contract

You're not gonna hear a word out of Jimbo

Sometimes silence speaks louder than words

Plus most of the time fired coaches won't say much.. if you ever want another coaching job , publically shaming your previous employer doesn't really scream " hire me"

He was not. Termination was effective immediately

Some players reached out to him by text

As much as the stupid generational money lessons the sting. I'm gonna bet he's hurt that he got fired. His ego is large. Maybe even bigger than his bank account.

That had to sting a little bit, especially if he wasn't expecting it.

He wanted to win every game. He just didn't know how to not get in his own way.

He will say something eventually.

Jimbo didn't win with us but I still think he has the heart of a winner - at least a very strong desire to win.

All of you who think that Jimbo is having a great time with all his money are wrong. You're projecting. You make $80k a year and fantasize about how great your life would be if you had a million bucks. Jimbo money is just some kind of idealized heaven for you.

But he was already wealthy before he came here. He didn't need the money. But he got it - and that's in part "winning" for him. He would tell you that himself.

But I can assure you there is no part of him that's felt any joy since Bjork left his office.

You're talking about a man who's never been fired- with an upward trajectory in his career since day one.

And he's just hit a brick wall.

Yep I agree 100% with this

Hopefully he's able to realize it was his own stubbornness that led down this path

It didn't have to be this way... He chose to keep top flight athletes confused & operating slow instead of letting em loose

Why do you think he cares anymore? A&M just canned him and made him rich beyond anyone's dreams here. So he will just quietly leave and not cause a fuss. Lay low for a few months and then find another job if he feels like.

Agreed entirely.

I don't know what's in his head. I would really like to know, that's for sure.
In moments by himself, is he making excuses? Is he blaming others?
Or is he just flat out depressed that he was "that close" and owning - truly owning the outcome himself?

If he's like most of us, it's probably a mix of all.

I would imagine he is looking forward to being West Virginia's next coach. His WV salary plus the A&M one will make him the highest paid coach in the country BY FAR.

I would be curious to hear how he communicates to the team. Especially in terms of taking responsibility, and what led to the situation.

My guess is that he thinks next year would have been a break thru
and it was really unfair to fire him for having bad luck and losing some close games.
But that's just a guess.
