SI is really only a brand name at this point. Some private equity company bought them, fired everyone worth a damn on staff, and now run it like a combo of a twitter aggregate account and Bleacher Report circa 10 years ago.

Bro what happened to SI. Once a revered publication now the equivalent of a high school news site with a swimsuit mag that features radical left lesbians, fattys, and trannies. You really got to give it up to the woke movement they really ruined everything. It's impressive.

Pretty much any national legacy title (Time, Newsweek, SI, Playboy etc) is just a vanity project for some billionaire to...WaPo and NYT are profitable but just barely...but nobody buys a magazine or newspaper with the expectation of profitability. It's all just for ego stroke for them.

There are very few decent sports journalism outlets anymore, everything is so decentralized and so much content is available that no one but the diehards are willing to pay for premium writing/sourcing. A couple ventures had some decent attempts at broad wide-world of sports coverage like Grantland/The Ringer and The Athletic, but they've had to widen to include way more focus on pop culture and gambling to stay afloat. Anyone hanging on is likely targeting a specific niche fanbase (like TA catering to all things Aggieland).

This all goes double for college-focused content outside of maybe March Madness. There just isn't a base for quality, objective journalism on a wide scale anymore.

The article also says that our 20.4 points per game allowed makes our D 31st in the nation in that category, when we're actually 25th, and would be tied with Bama at 12th at 18.1 points per game allowed without the 23 points we gave up on offense and special teams (3 TDs and the Safety vs. Bama).

Facts are hard.

Was listening to espn radio yesterday while on the road and it was an NFL segment . Don't know who it was as I don't listen to espn radio much anymore

But they were talking about the Jimbo firing and said " guess that 51-10 home loss to Mississippi state was the nail in the coffin for Jimbo Fisher"

ESPN should be outright embarrassed about that headline

We have givien up a non-offensive touchdown in almost every game this year. You could probably knock 5 ppg off our defensive scoring average to get the true picture of our defense.

SI has gone the way of the covered wagon, fax machines, and pagers. Still around, but only in museums or in your grandparents attic.
