Best 4 loss team in the nation.
Almost is great in a game with horse shoes and hand grenades!!!!SouthLlano said:
I'm as bummed as anyone here, but that was a heck of a game. You guys are delusional.

His record is so bad on the road. He statistically should have won a couple of games on accident.
That's called "tradition" at A&MJimbloFisher said:
I'm convinced we could lose every game and there'd still be a few delusional sunshine pumpers here trying to justify it

They are the #10 team in the country and we played them tight. Other than a few boners, we would've won. Look at our team now versus when we played Miami earlier in the season and I think we are all in agreeance that we have come a long way. I said it before and I'll say it again that the number of new players on our team take awhile to come together to gel into a team. I'm disappointed in our record too but I see the progress.
We are the national champions - repeat national champions - of moral victories. Yay!Gigem713 said:

At this point I blame Jimbo for the QB injuries, he has not had a decent OL in years and continues to get his QBs killed. Max is under pressure constantly and taking a lot of hits. Weigman took a beating too. So did all of our QBs last year. Its a mess.SouthLlano said:

It's year 6. You're delusional.
Year 6 with the 4th most talented roster in the nation. We should be going 10-2, at worst, with our talent

I sure hope the next guy gets a realistic contract that doesn't guarantee a decent retirement for no effort.Slicer97 said:
Jimbo wasn't signed for "almost".
Doesn't matter if you lose by an inch or a mile. Losing is losing. And Jimbo does too much losing.
it was winnable only in the sense we made it close at the end. We weren't going to stop them from scoring -- not in the 4th and not in the overtimes. Who didn't think they were going to score again and take the lead back?TexasAggie81 said:
It was yet another clearly winnable game that didn't happen. That's all it was. This is the trend --- a bad trend, I might add --- that is "quintessential Jimbo Fisher" and his failing football regime. It's so commonplace that many Aggie fans EXPECT this to consistently happen. Had something different occurred yesterday, the Aggie faithful would have been pleasantly surprised. That fact alone should tell you how this acceptance of mediocrity (which begins at the top) have become a cancer on the entire program that needs to be cut out. At this point, waiting for next year or accepting perpetual mediocrity don't seem --- to many of us --- viable options. Second place in football games at any level means only one thing. You are the "first loser." And the competitiveness or the closeness of the loss doesn't soothe anything. It irritates even more. Apparently, some like you are fine with "close but no cigar." You may be an Aggie, but I'm hopeful there aren't a whole lot of Aggies out there who adopt this mentality. It gives the rest of us a very bad name.
I'm still not convinced Petrino really runs the offense, because his offenses at Arkansas were light years better than what we have now. And you can't say that the talent level was better at Arkansas then.standfast said:
In year 6 with THIS amount of talent Ags SHOULD beat number 10 on the road because the Ags should be ranked number 5/6 with maybe Bama as the only loss so far. This level of talent should beat other teams. We out gun every roster they play but our coaches don't know how to shoot. It's very sad. Quick fix is fire the OL coach NOW and throw cash at the best replacement out there and get them coached up in time for Weigman healthy next year. Give the still fresh faced QB some time in an actual pocket and gain confidence. Another year of studying Petrino's offense. The epic recruits that remain are more experienced. IF that doesn't work it's clear it's time to buy Jimbo out.
