Why is this one so terrible? Punt return TDs, short punts that don't flip field position. Net negative.

Like everyone else, he's regressed.

I came to post the same thing. This punter is terrible. Like an average high school punter.

My vote for worst Australian style punter ever.

He sucketh.

Nearly every player has gotten worse as the season has gone along. Punter is maybe the most obvious.

No special teams coordinator. Jimbo doesn't believe in them.

A start like this against an inferior opponent coming off a bye week just reeks of poor preparation, poor motivation, and lack of commitment.

It's time for an up-and-comer. He may see TAMU as a stepping stone, but that means he is striving for greatness. Then, you pay him to stay because of what he's done instead of paying him to leave for what he's done.

Maybe because every punt is a c-hair from being blocked. Our O-line is no bueno.

37 yard punt there from our 41. Couldn't Even get it inside the 20.

Another reason to be aggressive and just go for it on every 4th down.

He was one of the best punters in the nation last year….. not sure the change. Our line wasn't any better last year!

So... Guessing none of you were at the game? The wind was blowing into the stadium from the South end AND the North end at the top decks. And on the field, the wind was blowing from the North. When a punter kicked towards The Zone, the punts were short.

I was at the game and it wasn't the wind. Punts were bad in both directions. Punting has been piss poor all season.

He had 4 punts yesterday. 3 were punting towards the south end zone for 34 yds, 31 yds and 33 yds. 1 towards the north end zone for 37 yds (his best punt was towards the zone).

And none of these were fielded or downed inside SC's 20 yd line or went for touchbacks.

BS. I was at the game, Nothing but a gentle breeze. Nothing that would affect the kicking game.

Over on Old Rivalries there is a description of how the Dread Kraken interferes with Aggie functionality.
Apparently our punter now needs to undergo the same ball extrication process that Ol' Sarge (in particular the snapper) needed during the off week.

We will never win on the "metric & star ratings." Start thinking out of the box. The transfer Tumey out plays the other punters in practice but has not been on the active roster. Is this a Jimbo call? Who is calling it?
