I am glad we defeated South Carolina 30-17 to snap a 2-game losing streak to improve to 5-3 (3-2 SEC). We handed South Carolina their 4th consecutive loss and dropped them to 2-6. Also, we avenged a 30-24 loss at South Carolina on 10/22/2022 to win the Bonham Trophy for the 9th time in 10 years, including 5 of 6 under Jimbo Fisher. Jimbo Fisher has improved to 15-6 (9-5 vs SEC West and 6-1 vs SEC East) SEC home games.

However, this is the 4th consecutive game where we did not score an offensive touchdown in the 2nd half. After scoring 21 points in the 2nd quarter, we scored only 9 points on 3 field goals in the 2nd half. That's won't cut it in a road game at Ole Miss next week.

Our RBs need to keep their feet under them and moving on straight block and run. They tend to hit and lean. They do not drive. OL needs to maintain blocks without holding.

The sad thing is, if Conner would've been QB today, we easily score two or three more TDs.

The pass to Wright is an easy TD.
Conner walks in for the TD on that 4th quarter run tgat Max got stopped short.
And just the general fact that Max is always about a half second slow getting the ball out.

If we hang 40+ on the cocks, the entire outlook for the rest of the season changes.

Instead, here we are.

Thats what it felt like to me. Very Bush league with the nods that went to us because of a few standouts on the team.
