Overall, I like having yell leader lead yells. But, IMO all the choreographed dancing around by the yell leaders looks really gay, and I don't like it at all. If they are going to dance around, let's replace them with female cheerleaders. The yell leaders didn't do all that dancing around crap in the 70's and early 80's. They're in military training for crying out loud... they should lead yells, not try to be cute. You don't see Army, Navy, or the Air Force Academy jump around acting like queer fools.
I agree!!! " Get some of the yell leaders from the 70's to show the dancers how to lead yells!!!!

Class of 75 here. The yell leaders today are not the same as when I was there. They used to be there to lead yells, as the name implies. What they are doing now is more akin to some kind of coordinated dance routines. You say you want cheer leaders? I say we already got 'em.

Flame away if you disagree.
AGREE!!! we already got 'em!!

Can you be more specific? What I saw in that video seemed pretty much identical to what I remember yell leaders doing from back in the day.

When is your "back in the day"? We all have different "back in the day" timefram
Did you not read the beginning of the reply? It said '75. I agreed with him. '70. Thats back in the day!
