Let's say for fun that the administration decides at the end of this season that it's time to part ways with Jimbo and come up with the money to make it happen.

How do we know that the same people who extended Jimbo won't be in charge of finding his replacement?

Hopefully they learned from their mistakes. Wish it would happen today.

They would need to just go get Steve Spurrier.

We basically have the collective equivalent of a Jerry Jones running our football program.

The people (largely) responsible for hiring Jimbo are going to be the same ones (largely) for finding his replacement. That's also why I've also come to terms this season that Jimbo is not the answer, but I won't pretend to know who is the answer either (not that the TMF GRA what I think about the hire).

The last 20 years of hoping the next season will be better is what is going to get me through the next 20 years of hoping next season will be better. Meanwhile, I've also accepted that tu and OU will likely win a division or SEC championship (or two), over the next 20 years.

I don't really care if he goes. I have zero faith in the decision makers to make any real change. Until then we will continue to suck.

It isn't asking much for them to change their approach in hopes of getting it right.
