Thought that exactly, since Sharp is so enamored with him he can be special assistant to Chancellor.

Read item 1.1 of the contract. Literally the first thing. "Accepts employment as Head Football Coach…"

If that's not descriptive enough for you, go ahead and read item 2.1.

This is standard in every contract. And why no coach in the history of ever has been reassigned to be the janitor or whatever. Not making him the head coach requires liquidated damages or a negotiated buyout.
