Organizing the $86 million to fire Jimbo is like paying off your 26 year old son's maxed out credit for the 3rd time thinking you're "helping" him, when you're really just empowering him to do something stupid again.

I'd rather see Jimbo lose another season than empower the current decision makers with another $100 million decision.

In the new age of NIL, recruiting will easier for those that can find money for players. A&M can find money. Jimbo's recruiting style means less and less every year compared to what is coming. We will get recruits, but we definitely need a coaching staff that can DEVELOP!

This. NIL changed the game. Paying players has always been done it's just some programs were better at it and better at getting away with it than others. (Looking at you Saban and Bama). But now NIL evened out the playing field and made it legal to do so.

Besides it's not like A&M doesn't have the money. We'll still be able to lure talent here. A coach that knows how to win just makes it a lot easier.

The current clown show needs to be ended.

So you honestly still support Jimbo? It's year 6 man. We've played two decent teams this year and lost to both, one being a beat down. In year 5, with Jimbos seniors and juniors, we go 5-7 with a loss to app state at home. There is no excuse at this point. We have 5 star talent and 2 star results.

With hundreds of millions invested in facilities, coaching salaries and NIL, who could expect proper game management in year 6 with a roster of 5*s.

I've been making excuses for him far too long! I thought we turned the corner against LSU last year. Ends up, that was an overrated LSU team, and our Offensive line and secondary are still among the absolute worst in all of college football! I'm tired of the undisciplined clown show! I will find better use of my time on Saturdays until Dumbo is gone.

The entire last 3:30 seconds was terrible
Not being ready to snap the ball out of the review, not having something quicker on 2nd and 3rd down, using a timeout for the field goal.
That's before you consider leaving DeBerry on an island all game and leaving Max with long developing plays against an outmatched offensive line.

Ball was ruled out at the 2 with 3:16 on the clock. 1st down play was snapped at 3:07, incomplete. 3:02, 2nd down, holding called lost 4 seconds. 2:58, 2nd down again, sacked with 2:50 left on the clock. 3rd down, snapped with 2:25. Called timeout after being stopped short with 2:14 on the clock.

So, 9 seconds to lineup and run the 1st down play and 25 second to get up after being sacked and run another play on 3rd down. I guess you could have called a timeout after the sack but then you either call another after getting stopped short or run the FG team out there and likely burn the same 25 seconds.

9 seconds to run a play is not terrible. Especially when the play has pre-snap motion. So don't kick the field goal or you don't call the timeout and burn another 20 seconds? I am not understanding what you are saying.

If you're kicking the field goal, you save the timeout for defense, it's pretty basic stuff here. And 9 seconds to get a snap off from a dead ball with only 196 seconds left is terrible.

If you can't understand this, it's not worth a discussion. Your Jimbo cape wearing is a good example of the reason the program is where it is.

Jimbo would not have been employed any longer before he got off the field had Bama been the employer. Buyout be damned.

9 seconds to line up and run a play with motion is not "terrible" no matter how you slice it. Could we have saved 3-4 seconds, sure. But that had zero impact on the outcome.

So you think it's better to hurry the field goal team out there and use the 20 or so seconds? I can see both sides of it and at best it saves you 20 seconds of clock to save the timeout and at worst you rush the kick and miss and the game's over.

Its almost like I said it saves you 20 seconds with the risk of ending the game on a missed field goal. Reading isn't difficult.

No need to fire/buy out Jimbo for multi millions.

If it comes to that, reassign him within the department or university and pay his annual salary … then hire whomever. Jimbo's pride or his desire to coach will eventually take him away.

… then hire Whomever to a realistic contract.

Then don't let the "stupid few" who extend coaches' contracts or salaries without real and continuous results. Our "stupid few" … our contract negotiators have continued to increase/extend the salary/contracts for Fran, Sumlin, and now Jimbo with only marginal success and with little consistent and tangible successes toward the goal of excellence. They tried to increase Sherman's salary after marginal success, but he said I'm paid enough … pay my assistants more.

Fire the "stupid few" before any reassignment or coach firing and for sure before a new coach search is even initiated.

The best thing folks in the 5 to 6 digit a year donation category can do is call and demand their donations not be used on a buyout. Send a message that their money isn't going to be leveraged so a handful of folks can sit in a room and negotiate stupid contract terms.

So much envy and hand wringing over a coaches contract that none of you helped to pay.

We don't get any grief from others. In fact, we don't get ANYTHING from others. A&M is irrelevant outside of NIL stuff. Why would anyone give a crap about this program when they can be focusing on teams with actual winning history like Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, and so on?

They aren't going to fire him this year, but it is just a matter of time. The experiment is over.

Spike the ball after the holding and kick the FG. You have 2:50 left on the clock with 3 timeouts. Assinine clock mgmt.

Instead of firing Jimbo and spending money on coaching carousel, focus on finding the future NFL Linemen and poach them with NIL money. NFL takes about 80 OL and DL per year...so go after grown ass OL and DL with one or 2 years of eligibility and bring them on. Only recruit HS players with potential immediate impact.
