Arkansas got super lucky their kicked pulled with TWO 50+ yarders out of their ass.

If the FG attempt is going to be longer than 45 yds and we have less than 7 yds to gain we should be going for it on 4th down. Bond is not reliable beyond 45 yds.

....there are 70 kickers in the NCAA who have not missed a field goal between 40-49 yards.

Was he lucky or is he just really good? Honest question, I have no idea what he has done in previous games but his kicks looked good enough to be in the NFL

Do the wider hash marks in NCAA make a difference in the longer kicks vs NFL? Seems NFL is where we're really seeing 50+yds regularly.

Seems they'd have less effect as you back up, but I've never kicked. Obviously they really put a harsh angle on the short kicks.

Maybe it's because there are only 32 NFL kickers total many of which have been on teams for >5-10 years. So yeah they are ridiculously good.

And he consistently out-kicked Bond on kickoffs by 10-15 yards. Strong leg

I personally have never missed a 40 yarder. Not
R a 50 yarder.

Quoting this stat without giving the # attempts or percentage successful is just as meaningless.
