What % do kickers need to maintain at 45+ yds to be considered reliable? Honest question
If the FG attempt is going to be longer than 45 yds and we have less than 7 yds to gain we should be going for it on 4th down. Bond is not reliable beyond 45 yds.PascalsWager said:
College kickers don't make 48 yard FGs routinely. This is not the NFL.
Bond is fine.
Arkansas got super lucky their kicked pulled with TWO 50+ yarders out of their ass.

Do the wider hash marks in NCAA make a difference in the longer kicks vs NFL? Seems NFL is where we're really seeing 50+yds regularly.
Seems they'd have less effect as you back up, but I've never kicked. Obviously they really put a harsh angle on the short kicks.
And he consistently out-kicked Bond on kickoffs by 10-15 yards. Strong legHoustonAg2106 said:PascalsWager said:

Was he lucky or is he just really good? Honest question, I have no idea what he has done in previous games but his kicks looked good enough to be in the NFL

According to this site...
https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/player-stat/field-goal-percentage-40-to-49
....there are 70 kickers in the NCAA who have not missed a field goal between 40-49 yards.
70.
