Hire a coordinator from another power 5 school or a head coach from an FCS school (or non P5 FBS school)..... and then make the contract very heavily weighted with incentives.

I'd honestly take Gundy at this point. Always seems to compete with 3* talent. Can't imagine what he could do with ours.

What's your point? Fran and Sumlin were also the hottest things out there at the time, and they didn't seem to pan out either.

I'd still rather try someone young and hungry as compared with Sleepy or say paying the retirement plans for past their prime elder statesmen.

We can't even get female cheerleaders and you're wanting a discussion on hot female coaches?

$1MM/win, $2MM bonus for winning division, $5MM for the Conference, $5MM per playoff win, $10MM to win it all? Go 5-7, you're still paid an above average wage for a D1 coach, but one great year, you make more than Saban in 5. I can't imagine there's a BMA that wouldn't be happy to take the hit for a NC. Hell, you could probably double the postseason incentives.

Been saying something like this this for years.

And while we are at it, do the NIL programs incentivize performance for players?

I don't throw accusations because I'm sitting at home watching once a week on TV. But I have to wonder if all the cush facilities and easy money have infected our program's culture.

Not a bad plan. Maybe every company should do this?

I agree with something like this, maybe this contract is too lucrative. But it also takes heat off a coach with fan base saying hey at least he only made 2 million this year...

Kyle Whittingham would kill it at A&M.

For the record, I thought we should've hired Kirby Smart instead of Sumlin.

Maybe we give Jimbo the same treatment Bobby Bowden got at FSU...

Someone posted about Norvell....so FSU is our pipeline now for coaches? I guess U of H had been the leader at one point.
