If the pay's right, and it's legal, I'll do it...Well, if the pay's right, I'll do it.

Orgeron was 40-7 at LSU, including a National Title. All for less money than the fraud A&M currently employs.

Ed O we a clown. he was run out of town because he was an embarrassment even for LSU standards. he was 40-7 with a natty and was still run out of town by corn dog. thank about that.

Larry Coker was a bad call and a quarterback injury away from winning three national championships.

LOLOLOLOL!

It's not a worst to best ranking. I have never EVER seen a coach do less with more than Fisher.

Not even gonna call him Jimbo anymore, it's Fisher from here on out. It's easier to say with a disappointing tone.

Gene Chizik, man. Come on...LOL... Start following CFB in 2018?

Miles was a very good coach, I'd put him at the top. Coker is next.

I'd put Gene above Ed because of the QB they had. Burrow was one of the best college QBs I've ever seen.

Jimbo is at the bottom for sure in that list.

Where the heck did you get 40-7? He went 51-20 at LSU

That's nice, but Ed O didn't coach LSU in 2007. And his team was undefeated in 2019.

Les is way worse than Orgeron. He inherited a stacked Saban program and slowly let it fade. Orgeron caught lightning in a bottle. Coker also inherited a title team. FSU was starting to decline when Jimbo took over but still relevant. Chizik also caught lightning im a bottle.

Also good to remember that even catching lightning in a bottle means something because Sumlin caught it and has nothing to show for it other than a cotton bowl blowout.

Coker built those Miami teams. He was the OC and a main recruiter on both sides of the ball. He also brought in Randy Shannon. Their decline was due to Ron Zook and Urban entering the south Florida recruiting landscape.

Chizik did exactly what Jimbo did. Turned a generational player into a championship. Otherwise both are mediocre coaches.

OP, funny thing is, I wouldn't take any of them over Jimbo. I know you probably think that is funny but none of them did what they did in the SECW without riding the predecessor's coat tails.

Ed O------rode Les Miles' coat tails, the talent that Les brought in.
Les Miles------didn't have to build from nothing and rode the talent built from Saban.
Coker--------didn't do it in the SEC and definitely rode the coat tails of his predecessor
Chizik--------rode the coat tails with the older vets/talent that Tuberville built and he got the one key piece (Cam Newton) a dynamic QB that nobody was ready for. As I mentioned the talent around him and experience were guys brought in by Tuberville and Newton was the missing piece, played that 1 year, won the Heisman and pushed them over the line to win the Natty.

Jimbo took over a program that was competing in the SECW but was miles behind Bama, Lsu, Auburn and arguably some might say very possibly behind old piss as well. Thanks Summy. Coming to a school that historically it is extremely difficult to recruit at the national level and for sure in the top tier. We have seen just how much effort he and his staff have put into recruiting over the years and we still haven't quite caught up to the talent level and depth of Bama and Lsu. Some might argue now Auburn with the large and very experienced transfer class Freeze brought in since they were still very close to us on a talent basis anyways and now he has talented and experienced players in this big transfer class they brought in. I personally don't think Auburn is there with us right now but are fairly close. I definitely think there is no doubt that Bama and Lsu are ahead of us still when you look at their 3 deep in all positions across the board. We still have some areas we need to catch up to these teams on and I don't think any of those other national champ coaches had to deal with all those factors.

I think you are the only person on the planet who considers Coker the architect of the Miami program.

Weird that Butch Davis was a less successful coach than Coker.
