What's the point? We have no influence over the teams, no impact on the outcome, and no matter what kind of resources the team has, they can't help but **** it up.

Why even watch football? What's the point instead of doing anything else with our time?

It's a rough day. You'll feel better after we beat a no name team next week.

Tempered expectations and not looking through rose colored glasses will make the sport enjoyable again. This was always going to be a gap year if contending for conference championship was the goal. Our media grifts fanbase instead of objective football reporting leading many in the fansbase to these similar type feelings year in and year out.

I still enjoy college football but unfortunately the team I've followed for 35+ years is now a dumpster fire.

The Aggies seem to punish their fan base way more than their opponents.

Im losing interest in the University overall, actually.

I was there from 2004-2008 and its completely diametrically opposed to what it was just a 15 years ago.

I would rather send my kid (who is more gifted than I was at his age) to Tech rather than A&M.

He'll probably be smart enough to go to a system in the Boston-area, but still.

Still enjoy college football, but I am losing interest in watching teams coached by Jimbo Fisher and DJ Durkin.

Because it's fun to watch. Sorry a loss upset some people, but get over it lol. It's not the end if the world, or the season.

To what end? I have no connection to any other team, what would it matter if they win or lose?

I really have no idea why anyone keeps watching football over doing chores, reading a book, spending time with family, literally anything else other than this. We're spending 4 hours of our Saturday watching 18 year old kids we've never spent 2 seconds with play a game badly after being given a full ride scholarship to play said game.

I'm going to give the Texans a shot tomorrow to see if I have anything left. I just have too much to do to waste days like today. An entire day wasted on a group of people who have no intention of putting any effort into their jobs.

I think about this often. And how I'm always in a better mood on saturdays during the offseason. All those activities bring me much more pleasure than watching Aggie football. And for that reason I decided to stop getting so invested in the team. Now I watch the games passively (if at all) and it's so much better.

I enjoy college football but my emotional investment in and dedication to A&M is just about zero at this point. I flip the channel as soon as we go down by more than 10 or so and I'm no longer enjoying it (today I jumped to another game when Miami scored a TD to go up 38-26 with 13 minutes left)

Can we stop pretending it's college football? It's minor league pro football with unlimited free agency. While I may watch a game from time to time, I will no longer consider myself a fan. It will be just another entertainment option that is much further down the list then it used to be.

I try to be like this, but can't justify being passive given the amount of money I have to spend for my family of 5 to attend a game and watch from good seats. Plus the donations. Plus the tuition for 2 of my kids at A&M now.

Quit investing in A&M football and just watch it for the game . If we win we win if we lose we lose
Don't let it control you

I love college football , watch games all day.
A&M games To me now have as much impact as any other game I watched today… entertainment purposes only

Family had season tickets for 26 years , dropped in 2015.
Blew crazy amounts of $ attending home games , bowl games , traveled all over watching games

Been to i think 4 games at Kyle field since 2016 and only 1 in the last 4 years.
Went to couple road games, LSU in '21 and Bama last year. Don't miss attending games at all.
I also bought cotton bowl season tickets 6 years ago and attend that game each year.. and the fact it's abiut to be a semifinal or QFinal game every season.. more stoked about that than any A&M game.

How many fuqqin rebuilding/tempered expectations years are we gonna have my dude? You don't pay $10M+ per year for a coach just so we can be Iowa of the SEC.

Time to **** or get off the pot.

I find myself feeling this way more and more. With NIL and the breaking up of conferences it's become apparent it's all about the money. Players are just mercenaries. If I'm going to watch rich prima donnas play football I will just turn to the NFL.

I still enjoy Aggie Baseball. The football ship however is ready to leave port for the season for me. That bunch is led by a charlatan and I can't take any more of his grift.

Exactly. I used my "second half" much more constructively. I didn't miss the Ags underachieving moments at all.

Pretty much done with collegiate sports after today. A&M FB is a perpetual joke. Add NIL $$, Transfer portal lunancy, juggling conferences idiocy, ESPN BS/politics and the whole thing isn't worth investing time or interest in anymore. The whole thing makes me want to light a fire in my burn pit and torch everything with A&M logo. Program is a tiring joke that NEVER satifies.
