And people wonder how we are pulling recruits out of Miami.

I love that video. So good. I've sent it to 10 people in the last 5 minutes.

This is why we'll be a powerhouse some day.

And this is why Miami will never be in the SEC.

I don't know about powerhouse but I do believe we will be on the level of Bama and UGA as well as LSU and FL, ahead of Auburn and UT and Ole Miss. Not to say we will be like the current iteration of UGA or the last 10 years of Bama, but clearly in the top 1/4 of the pecking order.

We have come a very long way since 2012, we compete at a high level, have a good record against most of the SEC, but we still need to break through to the next level, that next tier. That comes with facilities, next level coaching (which Jimbo >> Sumlin despite last season) wider recruiting net, broader program footprint,. etc. I think we are about 1/2 way there.

Miami needs to build an on-campus stadium like the UH stadium, same size but probably nicer with more armchair seats and clubs, etc. That UH stadium only seats 40K but like alot of the newer MLS stadiums due to the design it looks and feels bigger.

Orange Bowl was at least close to their campus. They don't have much of a home field advantage, but always have good players even if they have a bad season.

yep.

miami is a program that should never be abysmal.

They always have talent bcause of what state they are in and their history in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's.

back in the 80's and 90's you couldn't beat miami at their place

I get your sentiment, but "never" is a very, very long word.

The Orange Bowl was also very far from campus, about 30 minutes or so.

If we are on the level of Bama and UGa we will most definitely be a powerhouse. Will it ever happen? only time will tell. The recruiting certainly has been upgraded. I feel pretty good about Petrino's ability to get more
Out of what he has than we have historically done. I think we go as far as our defense is able to take us this yr.
