Weigman seems to throw off his back foot, which is odd at least IMHO. But his throws were accurate and on time. No turnovers was also a great thing to see.

Again I never said he wasn't QB1. I just didn't realize how much he's progressed beyond Max. Max looks like he's regressed

I don't think he throws off the back foot normally. I think the pressure being applied to him mandated it. Usually, it's not advisable but, like Johnny, I think he's able to make good passes from a lot of different positions and arm angles. If those passes start to get picked off and he continues to throw them anyway, then I'll be concerned.

Max was rock solid at LSU (not amazing, but solid) and he'll run the show at a B to B+ level if Weigman goes down. But man, Weigman was an all universe recruit. If he lives up to his talent, he can be a top 5-10 CFB QB in the country.

This doesn't compute.

Every pass he's ever thrown is on tape. You can simply watch him play and know it's just not true.

Weigman is accurate and doesn't make stupid mistakes . We have a super nice receiving group. If we can cobble together any kind of running game he is going to do very well. The pass blocking is ok but we have to have a credible running game to optimize him. We have quality running backs as well. They just need some space.

I dunno if our rb's can catch and run but if they can that seems like the ticket to spread defenses out and open up a run game. we have speed. Our skill guys collectively are as fast as I can ever remember.

Weigman looked great, a few passes were very slightly under thrown but that last TD pass was perfect. Max settled in and looked better after the second series.

Pretty accurate, Against an SEC defenses the passing windows won't be as large and under throws could be an issue. I bet he cleans up the under throws quickly

New Mexico isn't great . We get that . Nevertheless you can see the speed and skill all over the field and a Qb capable of delivering the ball to them. We'll know more a week from now but it'd be hard not to see the possibilities

He does have an unorthodox throwing motion and throws off his back foot alot. It seems to work though…at least in the college level. Gonna have to clean that up for any chance in the nfl
